BIX THE SANDUSKY REGISTER-STAR- SEPT. 17, 1046- Social Events Of City And Vicinity Charlyne Rose Wed Saturday To Ralph Young, Air Corps Veteran Miss Charlyne Hose, eldest daughter of Mrs. Ralph May of Republic, and the late Charles Bose, became the bride of Ralph Young, son of Mrs. Ethel Young. 527 Jackson-st, and the late Ralph Young, Saturday morning, September 14, at 9 o'clock in SS.

Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. The Rev. R. C. Dunn read the single ring ceremony before an altar graced with white gladioli and baby mums.

Given in marriage by her eldest brother, Charles, the bride wore a powder blue tailored suit, with a matching ostrich feather trimmed hat and black accessories. Her corsage was of American Beauty roses. Her only attendant, Miss Virginia Young, sister of the bridegroom, wore a tailored grey suit with pink accessories. Her corsage was of sweetheart roses. Richard Young served his brother as best man.

For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. May chose a tan ensemble with black accessories and wore a corsage of sweetheart roses. The bridegroom's mother wore a brown suit with olive green accessories. Her corsage was of Talisman roses. A reception was held for the immediate families at the bridegroom's home following the ceremony.

After a brief honeymoon, the newlyweds are residing at 209 McDonough-st. The bride was graduated from Girls High school, Louisville, in 1943, and is now employed in the office of the Sandusky Baking Company. Mr. Young was graduated £rom Sandusky High school in 1939 and was discharged this past January after serving three and one half years in the Army Air Corps. He is now employed as a draftsman by the John A.

The elder Mr. Powers spent a very enjoyable sojourn here with his brothers and sisters whom he had not seen in 36 years. His son Kenneth met his aunts and uncles for the first time. Pringle The First United Brethren Church was the scene, Sunday, September 8 of the marriage of Miss Eloise Hammond, daughter of Mrs. L. D. Hammond and the late Rev. Hammond, pastor of LaCarne United Brethren Church, to Almon Gibbs.

son of Mrs. Winnona Gibbs, Berkey, O. Rev. Adolphus W. Pringle read the 3 o'clock ceremony, with a reception following in the church annex.

Given in marriage by her uncle, E. H. Sterns, of Palmyra, N. the bride wore a powder blue wool dress trimmed with gold studding and black accessories, and carried a bouquet of Talisman roses. The maid of honor, Mrs.

Clair Pontius of Berkey, sister of the bridegroom, wore a rose wool suit with black accessories and carried a bouquet of white and yellow gladioli. George Meeks of Port Clinton was best man, and the bride's uncle, Ralph Ness of Cleveland and Clair Pontius were ushers. Mr. Gibbs is employed at Camp Perry as a fireman and Mrs. Gibbs was formerly employed as a reproduction operator at Erie Proving Grounds.

She now has a photographic studio at Lakeside. Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs have returned from a trip through th.c Smoky Mountains and are making their home in Lakeside. son of Mr.

Both had white gladioli corsages. A reception for 75 guests at the bride's residence followed the quiet parsonage ceremony. A four-tiered wedding cake centered the bride's table and fall flowers and garlands of myrtle decorated the interior of the Holtz home. Mr. Ward presented his bride a double strand of pearls and Mrs.

Ward gave her maid of honor a gold locket and chain. The newlyweds will honeymoon in New York City, stopping en- route at Princeton, N. J. Mrs. Ward traveled in a poudre blue wool afternoon dress with brown alligator accessories.

The newlyweds plan to live at 326 E. Adams-st. Mrs. Ward will continue working at Kresge's and her husband at the Ward Auto and Paint Shop, in which business he is associated with his brother. Helen Stahl Wed In Bellevue Church BELLEVUE, Sept.

The attendants were the Misses Shirley Ann Biedel of Boulder, Mont and Marjorie Akins, of Tulsa, as taper lighters, Phyllis Ruhland and of Elizabethtown, as bridesmaids, Sally Meyer, seven year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Meyer, Bellevue, and Jimmy Pearce, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs.

Howard Pearce, Columbus, niece and nephew of the bridegroom, as ring bearers. David W. Stahl, the bride's brothers, was as best man; and Robert P. and Earl A. Baker, of Akron, cousins of the bride, and Harlow L.

Stahl, her brother and Charles Sliter, a close friend of the bridegroom, were ushers. Mrs. Walter was graduated from Bellevue High school in 1942 and also from Lindenwood College, at St. Charles, Mo. in June.

Mr. Walter has just recently been discharged from the Navy.
