ST ILL IllMt'lXGl The Oak Grove Cnyon atlll remains with and automobile continue to bump over the croiiiaT at the Intersection of Oak Crove und Jefferson. Tho pngsengcr In the back aeat bump their devoted heads asaftist the roof, and mutter word Inaudible to the pnssersby. The aitfn reading: "Stop! Oak Grove Canyon!" made go naatly and pluced at strategic point on the corner, ha fallen from It lofty hetitht, and now repose In the gutter, but thu words of warning are allll vlslblu the day. Whether the notice waa put up as a practical joke or with kindly Intent la not known, but the fact remains that It haa served a useful purpose and probably saved many sn axle from destruction.

The suggestion Is advanced that a "Stop! Look! Listen!" railroad algnal be Installed to replaeo the small sign, but this Is, of course, In the realm of the Impossible. The Street Commissioner will no doubt look Into the mutter. If cttliens call It to his attention, and find some method of obviating the "dip" in Question, and rounding the curb on either side. RGTLR5IKG HOME. Word has been reeclved by rela-tlevg in town that Mr.

and Mrs. Julian Goodrich, of Chicago, formerly of this borough, who were recently Injured In a train collision while en route from Denver t.o Pike's Peak, are now on their way to San Francisco, after a tour of Yellowstone Park and a stay at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Goodrich, whose shoulder was hurt, has almost completely recovered and Julian, whose nose was badly injured and who sustained painful bruises. Is feeling considerably better.

The shock Is also abating. The accident occurred on a sinffle track railroad through, the signals falling to work. The operator, as he saw the train pass the block, knew that the accident was Inevitable, but had no way of communicating with either train. He therefore notified the dispatcher's office and a relief train and wreck er were immediately sent out, arriving a very short time after the collision, In which many were injured and some, killed.
