Since Its organization death bas never before spread Its black wing over tbe society, and while we mourn tbe loss of this beloved sister, still we feel truly grateful to our Father for Bis watchful care over our little band. Bev. Thomas F. Barrier, of Princeton Theological fcemlnary supplied the pulpit of tbe Presbyterian church on September 16th, during tbe pastor's absence and made a very favorable Impression personally aud as a preacher. He did most excellent work during his vacation In Sumner county and Is much beloved by the people among whom he labored.

We are entering upon a new year with noon services, would do well to confer with Brother John W. Gibson, president of tbe Epwortb League. Friends continue to remember us from time to time by subscribing for tbe Visitor. We cannot continue to reach our friends through the postofflce until our subscription list is Increased, but- we want all to bave tbe paper as before. Remember us when you have twenty-five cents and want to help us.

Dr. Anderson and bis daughters, Miss Sadie Anderson, take their departure for their Florida borne on tbe Oth of October. Gillespie who died September 24th at the age of nearly twenty-four years. He will be greatly missed by bis family, friends, and kindred and by bis loved companions.
