0. F. to Assist in Anniversary Celebration at Riverside THE SUN'S Staff Correspondence COLTON, April 22. One of the most elaborate Boclal affairs of the season occurred yesterday when Mr. and Mm.

Halph D. Bailey entertained a number I of friends at a dancing party given in the parlors of the Chocolate Palace at San Bomardino. The popular host and hostess had everything arranged for the happiness and pleasure of their guests. The hall was effectively decorated with wild purple lupin Intermingled with pink rosea and the same decorations were used oh'the'tables'ln the banquet room, the flowers being ar. tlstlcally arranged in large, crystal bowls.

To the strains of sweet music the happy couples forgot the cares of the day, and at a late hour they surrounded the banquet tables where delicious refreshments were deftly served, consisting of French pastry, orang sherbert, coffee, mints and salted inotds. Soldier Guests Richard and William Castle, returned soldiers, were hosts at a large party given at their home on Friday evening at Grand Terrace. The honor guest was Miss Josephine Kerrlck, teacher of domcstlo science at Santa Barbara, who was home for the week-end.

The occasion was provided that she mlgnt meet the returned soldier boys of Grand Terrace. Those present were Elmer Horslcy, LeRoy Kemp, Walter Snyder, Paul Fox. In th.s chair. Lumburd was introduced and made a stirring and forceful talk on the Col-tin Chautauqua, to be held April 24, 25, 2(5, with its 14 excellent numbers. The profits will be turned over to a fund for the establishment of a municipal park, with a swimming pool and all that goes to make an up-to-date equipment. Mr. Lumbard Is at the head of the chamber of commerce and a public-spirited citizen.

Mrs. H. G. French then read the report of the county federation of clubs, which was held at Grand Terrace April 15. This was followed by a report read by Mrs.

C. F. Whitmer, on, Reciprocity day, held at the clubhouse at River-1 side, which Mrs. D. W.

Willets, Mrs. M. B. Wood, and Mrs. C.

F. Whitman attended. Luncheon was enjoyed by the participants while new plans and Ideas were exchanged. Delegates were then elected to the district con-! vention, they wore Mrs. C.

F. and Mrs. Jacob Bohlander, Mrs. Van Luven and Mrs. E.

T. McNeil. Delegates to the state convention, the president-elect, Mrs. L. C.

Newcomer, and Mrs. Jacob Sycamore Grove Saturday on Anniversary of Battle Out of the smoke of the battle of San Jacinto 83 years ago arose the Lone Star of the republic of Texas. The day of this battle has an abiding place in the hearts of Texans, and its anniversary will be celebrated by a picnic at Sycamore Grove park, Saturday, April 26. All Texans and former Texans in Southern California are expected to be on hand. Every Texan is expected to write and phone and talk of the occasion from now to the day.
