GOLDEN JUBILEE FORD TRACTOR GOES ON DISPLAY ON SATURDAY mi fU T. .1 IT wwAnl ine new ooiuen ouuucc iuuuu Ford tractor, described by company officials as the most modern farm tractor ever built with hy draulic controls and three-point linkage for implements, will go on display Saturday at the Garner Implement 164 San Bernardino, according to Jack Garner, dealer. The new tractor, marking the 50th anniversary of the FordMo- tor Company, not only is more powerful, but larger and heavier than the popular Model 8N which it replaces, the company an nounced. The over-all length of the new tractor has been increased to 120 inches and its weight to 2,510 pounds. It is powered by the en tirely new overhead valve Ford "Red engine.

A new design feature is the full- view instrument cluster set in a raised section of the hood for the convenience of the operator. In struments include the exclusive proof-meter, ammeter, tempera ture gauge and oil pressure gauge. The live-action hydraulic svstem built into the Golden Jubilee model to provide mechanical muscles for a wide variety of work, has been improved, the company said. The hydraulic mechanism pro vides both implement position control and constant draft control at the flick of the selector lever, fea tures of previous Ford tractors. The hydraulic pump itself is a live pump driven directly from the engine, providing a constant source oi hydraulic power while the en gine is running without necessitating the engagement of the clutch.

eliminating many gear shifting op erations. Another available feature Is Se-lec-Trol. A flick of the Select-Trol lever directs the hydraulic power to either a front or rear-mounted tool. This permits operation of a front-mounted Dearborn standard loader and rear-mounted by the same hydraulic touch control lever without the necessity of buy ing an extra hydraulic pump, it was pointed out. POWER TAKE-OFF The new Ford tractor can be equipped with a live power take off attachment which permits PTO driven implements to be operated continuously whether the tractor is moving or standing still.

Increasing the wheelbase to 7378 inches, coupled with the heavier engine, has given the Golden Jubilee model improved stability and permits the use' of heavier equipment. The front axle support assembly incorporates a number of mounting holes for convenient use of front-mounted new front power-take-off drive is available and simplifies the installation of front end implements such as loaders.
