Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Floyd Stansfield and Russell Cass sang as a duet Promise Me and Mrs. Stansfield sang I Love You Truly as a solo. Mrs. Alice Stephens of Fontana provided the accompaniment and played the bridal and wedding marches.

The bride wore a form fitting white satin gown and white bolero lace jacket. Her net veil was caught to her head with a starched lace coronet. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Attending the bride were her sister, Mrs. Wallace Clauson.

Wool-ard and Cleve Taylor. Betsy Holcomb Is Married to Boyd Bollinger Miss Betsy Holcomb, second of the three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Sommers Holcomb of Helendale, became the bride of Boyd Bollinger of Barstow, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Arthur Bollinger of Avert, at a garden wedding read Sunday evening June 11, at the ranch home of the Holcomb family. An archway of greenery and flowers on cither side by bouquets of gladioli make a lovely setting for the ceremony, which was read by the Rev. Thomas Dyer of Barstow. The wedding music was played by Mrs. Warren Smithson Jr.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a frock of white dotted swiss and carried a shower bouquet of pink and white sweet peas with pink rosebuds and maiden hair fern. On her head she wore a crowd of orange blossoms. She was attended by two flower girls. Joan, four-year old sister of the bride, and Patsy Ann Osbun, het niece, and bv Miss Dorothv Griffin, her bridesmaid, who wore a clotted swiss in the peach tone and carried an arm bouquet of spring flowers. Lester Snow of Barstow attended the bridegroom.

A company of 80 guests witnessed the ceremony and greeted the bridal couple at a reception following the service. Refreshments of home made cakes and iced fruit punch were served bv three small girls Janet Chalderhead, Athlyn Swarth-out and Avis Esther Graham. Mrs. Frank Osbun, sister of the bride, make the bride's cake which was cut during the reception. The young couple is at home in their own home at Earstow.

The bride was honored recently at two showers, one of which was given at the Base Line Gardens home of her aunt, Mrs. J. J. Miller. Over 20 guests greeted her and showered her with gifts.

Another shower was planned as a surprise for the bride and bridegroom. It was given by the Helen-dale community at the school house and was featured by a household shower for the pair. SAN BERNARDINO FOLKS ON VACATION TRIP Mrs. A. E.

Smith of this city and Mrs. R. M. Tiss of Hollywood left early this week for Great Falls, where they will spend the summer with their mother, Mrs. M.

Group Cherry Party At Chapter The social half of the meeting of Silver Wave chapter. Order of Eastern Star Friday night, was made a cherry party following the initiatory ceremony marking the chnpter hour, with the Worthy Matron Mattie Sowers and Patron Russell Bates in their stations. The banquet room entrance was embowered with branches of cherry tree with the bright fruit, also the serving buffet opening from the commissary. The chandeliers were hung with foliage of wild cherry branches with berries gleaming, and the ripe cherries formed a gorgeous table decoration. The big round table always reserved for the officers, was centered with a mammoth star formed of the luscious deep red fruit, topped with a basket in red, tied with huge bow of white tulle.

All the tables were adorned with the same style basket and bows, and mounds of the fruit. Favors at the places were small baskets holding MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY HIGHLAND AVE.
