Accused Slayers To Get Hearing Preliminary hearing of James Jones, 20, and George Hilton Jr. 16, both Negroes, who are accused of slaying a Yucaipa ranch fore man June 18 on U. S. highway 99 near Waterman avenue, will be held at 10 a.m. today in San Ber nardino township court before Justice Russell A.

Wickteer. Previously Hilton was turned over to juvenile authorities but was remanded to the justice court for preliminary hearing with Jones. Hilton is represented by Attorney Stanley Mussell of San Bernardino, while a Los Angeles ttorney represents Jones. The two youths were arrested after the body of Roy E. Nolls, 42, his skull battered and crushed, was found alongside his car, parked opposite a night club on the highway.

Nolls had been robbed of $24 in cash. Legislators Endorse Veterans Bond Act SACRAMENTO, July 20 UPV-A joint legislative committee to tax structures today unanimously urged a favorable vote on the veterans bond act, proposition No. 1, which is on the general ballot next Soldiers, U.S.O. Hostesses Will Make Trip to Beach Sunday At a meeting of the U.S.O. program council plans for week-end entertainment and activities were outlined, with Mrs.
