Thies, of lower Manhattan, was 19 when he vanished Dec. 13, 1982. The man was described by authorities and relatives as mentally disturbed. Bronx woman missing Authorities are still seeking the whereabouts of an 83-year-old woman who disappeared last month on the way to a shopping mall near her Bronx home. Mary Sasson was last seen Oct 13 as she walked toward Caldor's shopping mall on Pelham Park West and Boston Post Road. Sasson is 5-feet-3 and 135 pounds, with white hair and hazel eyes.
