A. 18389, that tract of land situate in the Township of Kinzua, County of Warren, Pennsylvania, containing 6.68 acres, more or less, and being the same tract of land which Edward Gerald Strickland conveyed to Geraldine L.

Chiodo, by deed dated July 27, 1953, recorded hi Deed Book 289, page 171, Warren County Records, subject to the life estate reserved to the said Edward Gerald Strickland; Tract 304, C. A. 18390, that tract ef land situate in the Township of Kinzua, County of Warren, containing 16.58 acres, more or lew, and being a part of the lame tract which Minnie D. Clem conveyed to Lawrence M. Jenkins et by deed dated April 11, 1936, recorded in Deed Bode 180, page 413, Warren County records.

The authority tor the takings are under and In accordance the Art of Congress approved February 26, 1931 (46 Stat. 1421, 40 U. S. C.

258a), and acts supplementary thereto and amendatory thereof, and under the further authority of the Acts of Congress approved April 24. 1888 (25 Stat. 94 33 U. S. C.

591), and March 1, 1917 (39 Stat. 948, 33 U. S. C. 701), which authorize the acquisition of land lor flood control projects; the Flood Control Art of Congress approved June 28, 1938 (Public Law 75th Congress), as amended by the Art of Congress approved August 18, 1941 (Public Law 77th Congress), which acts authorize the project for the construction, operation and maintenance of the Allegheny River Reservoir on the Allegheny River, Pennsylvania and New York, Ohio River Basin, and the Act of Congress approved September 10, 1959 (Public Law which act appropriated funds for such purposes.

You are further notified that if you desire to present any objection or defense to the taking of your property you are required to serve your answer on the attorney at the address herein designated within twenty (20) days after the last date of this publication October 3, 1960, unless you have previously been served personally, in which event you have twenty (20) days from either date of personal service or publication, whichever is first. Your anwer shall identify the property in which you claim to have an interest, stating the nature and extent of the interest you claim, and stating all of your objections and defenses to the taking of your property. All defenses and objections not so presented are waived. And in case of your failure so to answer the Complaint, Judgment of Condemnation of that part of the above described property in which you have or claim an interest will be rendered. But without answering, jrou may serve on the attorney, a Notice of Appearance designating the property in which you claim to be interested.

Thereafter you will receive notice of all proceedings affecting it. At the trial of the issue of just compensation, whether or not you have previously appeared or answered, you may present evidence as to the amount of the compensation to be paid for the property and yew may share hi the distribution of the award. Beers, RN, of Pittsburgh, who is assistant director of Allegheny County Visiting Nursing Association, is another of the speakers to be heard at the Nurs- i ing Seminar at Warren State Hospital tomorrow. Registrations for the meeting, sponsored by McKean and Warren County Heart Association, will begin at 9 a. m. Miss Beers is a graduate of Duquesne University College. She has taken special courses in advanced cancer, heart disease, and rehabilitation nursing.

Active in professional organizations, Miss Beers is a member of the Pennsylvania League for Nursing; American Public Health Association; Pittsburgh Medical Care group; and has served as a consultant in chronic disease nursing. Her seminar group, beginning at 9:45 a. will center its discussions on nursing care for the home cardiac. jory, of Irvine, came for dinner, bringing a birthday cake and gift. Mr.

Howard, FM, has been spending a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson Howard. He has been stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, but is now serving aboard the seaplane tender, USS Duxbury Bay. He will be gone 8 to 10 months on an operational and good will tour in the Persian Gulf.

R. RUDES fo rthe will be the theme for the annual World Missionary Convention to be held at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Thursday through Sunday. Speakers to be heard will include the Rev. Rajimond B. Rudes, from Indonesia; the Rev.

Arthur J. Herbert, Philippine Islands; Miss Virginia Smotherman, Gabon, Africa. Mr. Rudes, who has completed more than 15 years of service in Java and Borneo, has served as head of the Long Bai Bible School and has been chairman of the field in Indonesia. With a record of 12 years in the Philippines, Mr.

Herbert distributes Christian literature from his headquarters in Zamboanga City. Miss Smotherman, who went to Gabon in 1955, works in this now dependent African republic. BIRTHDAYS REV. A. J.
