Frank Roemmelmeyer, for fifty years a men fthe vMorart Band, of this city, 'and at present its was pre sented with a gold medal today by the Cardbondale Kiwanls Club. in recogni tion of his valuable contribution musical advancement of the "commun Ity during the past half century.

The presentation' was made, at' the regular noon luncheon meeting, which was held in the Hotel American, by Leon Bly, leader of Blyjs Band, and dt rector of the Klwanis. music. Miss Gay MacLaren, actress and dramatic reader, who gave a reading of "Helen's Boys" in 'the High Schoo this evening, was also an honored guest. Miss MacLaren spoke briefly of a forthcoming motion picture la which she 'is to appear. The title tho nhntnnlnv 1 "Watch HerSSteD." Funerals CARBONDALE, Dec. 7 The funeral of Mrs. Mary Faatz, a former resident of Forty third this city, whose death occurred several days ago at Ransom; was held at 9 o'clock this morning at the home of her brother, Thomas Molinaro, of Forty third street. A rrvass of requiem was celebrated over the body in Mount Carmcl Church by Rev. Angelo Perrone, and burial was in St.

Rose Cemetery. The funeral of Minor R. Olmstead, a former resident of this city, 'whose death occurred recently at the 'home of his niece. Mrs. George Merritt, Binghamton, was held at 3 o'clock this at 'the Blicken's Chapel, Sixth avenue.

Services were In charge of Rev. Wesley I. Andrews, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and burial was in the family plot in Maplewood MABXOK SAX CARBOXDALE. Dec. 7.

Marlon, tnn month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sak, of 6 Reservoir Btreet, Simpson, died at the family home at 4 o'clock this morning. The parents and one sister, Irene, survive. The funeral will be held at 9 o'clock Thursday morning, with services in Holy Trinity Church.

Burial will be in the church Simpson. i GETS FULL CLUB HAND IN PINOCHLE TOURNEY CARBONDALE, Dee. 7. The pinochle tournament now being conducted among the members of the Carbondale Lodge No. 2S0, Knights of Pythias, is creating considerable in terest among the members.

On Thurs day evening December 2, the second match was played off with the largest attendance tver recorded at a tourna ment the members. One of the features of the contest held De was the hand dealt William L. Isger by Ills partner, Claude An drews. when Isger had gathered up his quota. of cards he found that had been dealt, a full hand of clubs, every trump being held by him.
