Doreen fought cancer for the last few years, it was a fight where she never backed down. She fought a quiet yet determined battle, enduring a challenging last 12 months where she never gave up. In the early morning hours of last Saturday she mercifully passed quickly and quietly in the arms of her husband of 62 years.

She is predeceased by her loving husband George Parker. She is survived by her son Greg, daughter in-law Veronica, twin grandsons, Colin and Adrian and two great-grandsons, Liam and Declan all of Massachusetts, USA. A caring and contributing member of her community, she was a devoted member of Valois United Church and her interests included, traveling, volunteering, baking and playing bridge with her close friends.

Just like her husband, she was dedicated to the community by contributing socially to the success of many organizations: secretary of the Lake Labelle Owners' Association, in 1960; secretary of the Parent-Teacher Association of Saint-Remi School in Beaurepaire from 1966 to 1969; secretary of the real estate development "Lacabie Enterprises founded in 1966; secretary of the water ski club of Labelle in 1977; co-founder of "Association des Families Lauzon in 1991; administrator and president of "Association des descendants de Noel Legault dit committee member of the Historic Society of Beaurepaire-Beaconsfield, and churchwarden at Saint-Joachim Parish of Pointe-Claire, in 2006.
