Nancy is a San Angelo native who is now connected with a resort development in Lake Livingston, near Conroe. The San Antonio Thunder has obtained two more players from the North American Soccer League champion Los Angeles Aztecs. The Thunder got seven of the 11 Aztec starters, who played for current S.A. coach Alex Perolli last season, in return for the rights to college draftee Juan Sergio Velasquez and a 1976 draft choice. The price this time was the second round draft choice in 1976.

Now on the Thunder roster are forward Peter Filotis and defender Yeprem Ner- sepian. Both are expeced to arrive in San Antonio Saturday and make the trip to Houston Sunday. The Thunder plays its second exhibition game against the University of Houston team Sunday after beating the Austin All-Stars, 6-0, last Saturday. Filotis, 24, is a native of Greece but now lives in the United States. Nerse- pian, 28, was born in Turkey but is now an American citizen.

These two bring the Thunder roster to 16 players. Having played for Perolli last year, they should have little trouble working themselves into his system in time for the debut against NASL competition two exhibition games in Tampa against the Rowdies, another expansion team that, like San Antonio, apppears to be an instant contender. These games are scheduled for April 11 and 13. The regular season opens April 18 with the Dallas Tornado visiting the Thunder for the first game. In other developments, rookie goalie Randy Coffman of Humboldt State was cut and striker Chris Carenza was due to arrive in town Softball golf tourney set Softball season is just around the corner and it be long before some 6,000 adult San Antonians grab their gloves and head for the diamond.

Before they do, however, the City Recreation Division will sponsor another event sure to attract a crowd. the 9th annual softball players golf tournament scheduled Saturday morning at Riverside. For softball players and team sponsors only, the affair will begin with a 9 a.m. tee-off. Carenza, a rookie from Southern Illinois at Edwardsville, has been finishing up his schoolwork before reporting.

The weekly mini-clinic will be held at Las Palmas Saturday and the Thunder organization will be out in force. Most of the players will be there from noon to 3 p.m. and so will the Sweethearts and the team band, the Thunderation Generation. EZ Riders would return to San Antonio this year for one or two matches. The Riders will play 15 of their 18 home matches in Houston and take on Los Angeles on May 7, San Diego on May 31 and Boston July 8 in nearby cities.

The Convention Center Arena is booked up for May 31, so the dates in question for San Antonio are the other two. Mrs. Jones said she know whether both, or only one, of the matches would be played in S.A. She said a definite announcement would be made in the next two weeks. The EZ Riders have strong local ties in John Newcombe and Dick Stockton as well as in Coach Clarence Mabry.

Other members of the team include Bill Bowrey and his wife, Lesley, Helen Gourlay and Karen Krantzcke, as well as Mrs. Gunter, if the Riders can come to contract terms with her. U.S. track team going to China NEW YORK (AP) In the spirit of friendship and with an eye towards further normalization of relations in all areas, the United States will dispatch a track and field team to China for two weeks in mid-May, it was announced Thursday. Arranged under the joint sponsorship of the Amateur Athletic Union and the National Committee on U.S.- China Relations, the tour from May 15-30 will include dual meets in Canton, Shanghai and Peking as well as clinics for coaches and officials throughout the Republic.
