Victor was an inspiration to all and a friend to all at Petro-Tech and he will be missed greatly.

Victor was educated at the Budapest Polytechnic University in Hungary, immigrated to Canada in 1956 and was active in the steel fabrication industry throughout his life. Victor took pride in his work as a Design Engineer and his thoughtful judgment was always apparent in his engineering drawings and detailed specifications. Clients could always be confident that equipment which Victor designed would be the best available. Victor's Canadian career started in Winnipeg with Simkims and in 1978 he transferred to Calgary with Teshmont Consultants. He became involved in the design of refinery fired heaters with Fired Heaters in the 1980's and later contributed to projects at Dome Petroleum, GECO Steel and Born Heaters as he continued his conscientious engineering designs.

In recent years, he was a guiding force and steady reference at Petro-Tech Heaters. Throughout his involvement with projects, his associates fondly remember and appreciate his ability to create in his mind, convert ideas to paper and communicate with the tradesmen who translated his vision into steel. Victor was a man of many interests; his friends will recall his stories of sailing, raising exotic parrots and his adventures salmon fishing. He was a talented raconteur who loved an audience and was always ready with a story. We will miss our friend Victor..
