10 Find Child Died Of Ether Overdose During Operation Ont. March A coroner's Jury ruled last night nine-year-old Valentin Gaidelua died of an "overwhelming dose" of liquid ether during a tonsillectomy but attached no blame to hospital or individuals concerned. Evidence allowed liquid ether was administered accidentally apparently because of an unexplained transposition of two rubber tubes in the anaesthesia equipment Prof John A. Blezard. chief of the hospital's department of anaesthesia, exhibited equipment he designed after the death last Dec.
