The organization has set up 12 centers throughout the city to assist immigrants in the naturalization process free of charge.

Donnie Ford, executive director of the coalition, said the city is home for an estimated 665,000 Caribbean immigrants, many whom are eligible to become naturalized U.S. citizens. He said that the centers are equipped to handle naturalization candidates who have entered the country on a lawful residence visa, and have lived continuously in the U.S. for a period of no less than five years. All necessary forms will be available at the locations.
