Dorsey: I have a special request and maybe an impossible one to grant but would be very grateful if through your newspaper we could locate some of my relatives that left Kentucky and Tennessee years ago and came to your town. My grandmother passed away April 16, 1967, and it was her last wish that my father locate her nephews and nieces and visit them in Texas. As she was 93 years old when she died we are almost certain that her brothers are all dead but hope to find some of their children or grandchildren. My name was Sarah Eugenia Huffines, daughter of Crawford and Margaret Huffines of Simpson County, Ky. Her name was George Huffines and hiswifewas named Julia.

They had a son named Larkin and a daughter named Icey. rENJTH A- COLOR TV HEADQUARTERS FOR PLANO FULL LINE OF RADIOS, STEREOS AND COLOR TELEVISION esterny oumed uto iissociate store the family Sioie BURL STELL 15TH STREET PLANO, TEXAS 75074 LOCAL IN WARRANTY SERVICE THE NEW GENERATION FEATURED AT 1968 STATE FAIR IN DALLAS WEIGHING TIME is here for Joe steer, which will be entered in the Steer Show at the State Fair of Texas October 14 to 18. The singers range in age from 14 to 21. But their music should prove a tonic for listeners of all ages who are tired of way-out, way-down singing and are looking for a musical way up. The New Generation Singers first got together in July, 1966, in Dallas. More than 300 teenagers auditioned, and eighteen of the most talented folk singers in the Southwest were chosen. Ten days after the group was formed, they won the Texas Youth Conference Talent val in Austin, and their talent was established.

Since then they have increased impressively their repertoire of folksongs atui their list of performances. They have sung to high school, college and convention audiences and have done three TV shows, besides spending a very successful summer at Astroworld in Houston. Jim Harmon, minister of music at the University Park Methodist Church, is manager of the group. With all the enthusiasm of youth, die New Generation Singers promise to be one of the most exciting shows at the 1968 State Fair of Texas.
