Only a few days ago, he expanded his business to the building north of his present location on Avenue doubling the space of the business. The new floor space is devoted to his new line of Whirlpool appliances of all kinds.

last week attending the funeral of her mother. Home Metals Makers Of Kich-n-vent Hoods The Home Metals Product makers of Kich-n-vent, is one of fastest-growing industries. Ideally located on Central Expressway in Plano, the plant is kept busy turning out range hoods and other products that find a ready market throughout the country. President Jim Stalker recalls that he moved his plant to Plano and occupied their new building in August, 1963. He recalls also that in the early days of his company he was company president, sales manager, mechanic, installer and just about any other title one can imagine.

The company was formed by Mr. father-in-law, the late R. M. Pyle. Mr.

Stalker purchased the business from the family after his father-in- law passed away and for a while he and one other employee operated the business. The plant is constantly adding new employees, selling thousands of hoods each month in the 50 states. They build range hoods for ranges, and others. Besides range hoods, for which the company has become famous, they have been manufacturing barbecue grills and models for many big companies in the country, sold under their firm name. The plant occupies a land area of 8 acres with 70,000 square feet in the plant and office.

Groundbreaking ceremonies were held Sunday, April 30, 1967 with Hev.

On August 13, 1967, a year less one day from the first worship service at Meadows Elementary School, the congregation met in their church home. Monday, August 14,1967, Vacation Church School was offered to Kindergarten, Elementary 1-2, and Elementary 3-4 with sixty-one students enrolled and ten teachers assisting. TV enrollment in Sunday School increased from 74 to 109 with 11 teachers. During the month of August 1966 Society of Christian Service, the Methodist Men, and the Methodist Youth Fellowship were organized. The Society of Christian Service was officially constituted February 23, 1967, with Mrs. Nathan Eldridge, District President, presiding.

The daughters, their firstborn, were born Tuesday, February 13, in Germany and ed only a short time. Mrs. Rollins is the former Miss Diane Kinney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Kinney of Plano.

She and her husband have been in Germany since September where he is stationed in the air force. The first meeting of the Fair Committee was held recently to start their annual project. Jack Smith has been named General Fair Chairman with A1 Schneider as Vice Chairman. Bill Fox will handle the Bingo and the Kiddie Games.

LEWIS IS BORN Mr, and Mrs. Billie Joe Jones of 1104 Avenue announce the birth of a son, Lewis Anthony, born Friday, January 26 in Richardson General Hospital in Richardson. Larry Durham of Plano is among 15 spring semester pledges of Gamma TTieta Upsilon, national professional geography fraternity, at North Texas State University. Durham, a junior geography major, is the son of Mr.

and Mrs. R. Jack Durham, 1702 Ave. Plano. Allttle over a year ago on January 1, 1967, fire completely destroyed the Hays Restaurant on South Avenue in Plano.

One of North Texas best- known eating places, the restaurant was quickly rebuilt by Mr. and Mrs. James Hays, owners, reopening about three months later in larger and more spacious surroundings. The Hays have been serving the people of Plano and North Texas for more than 30 years. He started in the business in Plano in 1936.
