Tms worship service, sometimes called an interpreted charist (Greek word meaning Thanksgiving), is a celebration of the Communion Service accompanied by a running commentary interspersed at convenient points during the service.

ILs purpose is twofold one, to aid laymen in the worship and two, to inform them about the central worship service of the church, the Holy Communion instituted by Christ on the night in which he was betrayed As a teaching device the commentary on the Instructional Eucharist discusses the Clothing worn by the priest tne theology, action and ceremonial of the Liturgy and is a guide to the Prayer Book Serv ice. This interpreted worship service is being held in con lunction with and as an aid in instructing the pending new members of the Church. These new members will be confirmed during the annua! visitation to the Church by the Right Reverend Theodore McCrea, Suffragan Bishop of toe Diocese of Dallas, Wednes day, March 31. at 6 30 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend both of these serv ices at the Holy Nativity Episcopal Church located at 1602 15th Place.

Girls Letter-Jackets Awarded In Assembly Chita Welch To Practice Teach Mrs. Chita Welch, the former Chita Cate of Plano, will re- t'lm to Plano High School, where she graduated in 1961, as a student teacher. Mrs. Welch will begin her student teaching March 31 in Miss Faye junior English classes. The Plano graduate was active in the Future Business Leaders of America and served as state secretary during her nigh school years.

She was an office assistant and member of the Future Homemakers of America, Junior Thursday Study Club, and the Wildcat Tales. The student teacher attends North Texas State University in Denton and is the daughter of Mr and Mrs. A. Cate of Plano. Hopes Of Saving VA Hospital Are Dim The high school cage queens received solid maroon letter- jackets in an assembly at PHS March 10.

The letter-jaek- ets were the reward for all the time and energy the girls put forth during the season in bringing basketball honors to Plano. Senior tri captain Genny Reed and junior Diane Nelson received three-year jackets. Second-stripe winners were Kay Spurgin, Bette Nevels, and Penny Berry. Tri captanis Paula Allen and Joyce Steenbergen earned their first jacket as did Pat Ivy, Peggy Smithwick, and Rita Smith. Managers Donna Brumit and Jeannie Wiser received their fourth and third letters respectively.

The team members were recognized for their work this season. Their red chenile awards had not arrived yet and they will be handed to them at a later date. The members of the team in- Services For R. M. Loftice Robert Mallow Loftice, 44, died Saturday in Jefferson City, Mo.
