School Board Minutes THIRD GRADERS IYNETTE FORNEY and lorry Shelton demonstrate their science fair projects to their teacher, Mrs. Wanda White, at Sigler School. Lynette is the daughter ot Ur. and Mrs. K.

Science Fair Winners Participate In All- Brad Pool and Trent Taylor, fifth graders from Mendenhall School, have combined their efforts in making a working model of an oil field Also from the fifth grade in the same school is Connie Tes- entry which will demonstrate the testing of acids and bases in different foods. Arthur is making a seismograph, an instrument which records the vibrations. Jackie has built a boat propelled by steam jets. Third grader Tommy Todd is building a working model of fuse.

The fuse is composed of a battery, thumb tacks, erasers, two pieces of wire, and small pieces of foil. When the thumb tacks are put through the foil into the erasers, the foil i melts in the center showing the operation of a simple fuse. Fourth grader Chris Spies is making a working model of a water purification plant for his project. Both Tommy and Chris attend Meadows Elementary School. Don Boyd Receives Lone Star Gas Appointment The appointment of Don Boyd to the newly created position of organizational analyst, management improvement section of Lone Star Gas Company, has been announced by Dan M. Cole, vice president of personnel. Mr. Boyd joined the company on a full-time basis in 1962 after release from military service.
