"I'm not looking for excuses but I didn't have anything left in me in the final set." "I played well in the first set but the long rallies finally had the best of me. Dubois, Aleksandra Wozniak, Marie-Eve Pelletier and Sharon Fichman will represent Canada in Fed Cup play starting Wednesday in Medellin, Colombia. Crusaders, Waratahs look dominant I RUGBY The Canterbury Crusaders and New South Wales Waratahs cemented their places at the top of rugby union's Super 14 with lOth-round wins, but the playoff clock began ticking more loudly for teams camped outside the top four. The Crusaders scored seven tries in a stylish and efficient 53-17 demolition of South Africa's Cheetahs on Saturday, their margin fattened by All Black fly half Daniel Carter's contribution of 28 points. The Waratahs scored three second-half tries, outscoring the Brumbies 23-0 after a 14-14 halftime deadlock, to remain in sight of the Crusaders as they head toward a late-season bye. Meanwhile, captain Daisuke Ohata ran in a pair of tries Sunday as Japan cruised to an 82-9 win over the Arabian Gulf at Tokyo in Asian qualifying for the rugby World Cup. And, at Dubai, Fiji scored three first-half tries and held on for a 20-13 win over Canada in the Division semifinal at the world under-19 rugby championships Sunday.

Andrew Buxton-Forman of Oakville, Ont, led the way offensively with two penalty kicks and a conversion, while Adam Paul of St. John's, N.L., scored the team's only try late in the second half.
