There were 30 players and singers in attendance, coming from as far away as Osawatomie, Pittsburg, Topeka, Eureka, Ft. Scott, Thayer and Nevada, Mo. Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs.

R.E. Moore Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore of Ottawa. Mr.

and Mrs. Jerry Lester, 1315 South Central, Chanute, a Jerry Gene, born Feb. 9, at Allen County hospital and weighing seven pounds, 15 ounces. He joins two sisters, Gina Marie and Melissa Gay. The grandparents are Mr.

and Mrs. Dale Sigler of Iola and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Mrs.

Eula Hutton, LaHarpe, is the great grandmother. Erie Williams, Iola, and Roena Talley, Moran attended the state board meeting of the Kansas Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club at Topeka during the weekend. Mrs. Williams is second district director of the federation. Mrs.

Talley is nominee for the position next year. Mrs. David McGuffin is in 1 New York City to visit her husband. Mr. McGuffin is attending Brokerage School and will be in New York City until Mar.

15. Deaths and Funerals Walter Robinson Walter Robinson, 84, Route 2, Colony, died yesterday at the' Allen County Hospital. Mr. Robinson was born October 2,1888, at Lansing. He had lived in the Colony community more than 50 years.

He was a retired farmer. Mr. Robinson's wife, Mary Kay, died in 1970. include a daughter, Mary Lavinia Robinson, of the home; a brother, Henry Robinson, Tacom'a, Washington, and a sister, Mrs. I.V.

Bennett, Waverly. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Farris Funeral Home in Colony. The Rev. Ron Sparks will officiate and burial will be in the Colony Cemetery.

Martin L. Lack Martin L. Lack, 51, Iola, died February 13, at the Veterans Hospital at Leavenworth. Burial was Friday at Groom, Texas. Survivors include six- brothers, five sisters and Mr.

Lack's step-mother, Mrs. Mathilda Lack of LaHarpe. U.S. Vietnam troops now lowest in years SAIGON (AP) U.S. Command announced today the withdrawal of 1,564 more American troops from Vietnam, reducing the total U.
