Giuseppe was born March 6, 1920 in Giuliana, Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He served in World War Il and came to Canada in March of 1954. He worked with the City of Calgary for over thirty years.

Giuseppe was an avid gardener and loved to show everyone his greenhouse, including his tomatoes, which were the best in the area according to him. His grandchildren meant the world to him. Giuseppe is survived by his daughters, Audenzia Auto, Giovanna (Doran) Nakaska and their children, Miles, Morgan, Madison and Mackenzie; his daughter-in-law Gladys Auto and her children, Joseph (Jennifer), Antonia and greatgranddaughter Amanda. He will also be missed by three sisters-in-law and numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his wife Calogera, his son Antonino and his infant daughter, also by his two brothers, Giuliano and Baldassare.

Born November 28, 1920 to Walter and Kate Inglis of Kersewerll, Carnewath, Ranark, Scotland, Agnes married William Blacklock on November 25, 1948.

They came to Canada in 1952 to Calgary. Agnes joined Unity Chapter No. 26, O.E.S. on March 16, 1964 and became Worthy Matron in She worked for Horace Bakers Jewelers, Terrill Flowers and the Professional Club, and in her leisure hours, enjoyed gardening, painting knitting. She was born in Asquith, SK, but lived all her life in Moose Jaw, SK, until 1983 when she came to Calgary to be near family. She attended Grace Presbyterian Church until prevented by frailty.

Her last two years have been wonderfully supported at Trinity Lodge. Mother was totally dedicated to her family. She was an avid seamstress starting to work for her father running an upholstery business. She is survived by her three children, Joyce Williams (Jack) of Calgary, Garth Collicutt (Terry Luce) of Saskatoon and Diane Spraggs (Tom), Port Moody, BC. She is also survived by her oldest sister Violet Purmal of Hamilton, ON; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet was predeceased by her husband Albert Collicutt in 1969 and her youngest sister Doris Armstrong in 1996. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 15 Avenue S.W.) on Thursday, February 1, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Victor Kim officiating. God called for his precious angel and she knew she had to answer. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she truly was one of a kind. Sylvia is survived by her much loved husband Joseph; daughter Diane (Greg); and grandchildren, Christa, Nicole, Matthew, Danielle, Brayden and Nolan, all of Calgary; brother Ernest (Dorothy); sister Vera (Malcolm); as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of England. Born to Einar Fagerheim, Sr. and Gudrun on December 13, 1923.

Einar was the second of six children. After serving in the Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNAF) and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) from 1941 to 1946. Einar returned to Estevan, Saskatchewan to practice as a skilled carpenter. Einar was a sports enthusiast, having played hockey with the Estevan Miners, refereed hockey in the WJHL and the SJHL and demonstrated a keen interest in supporting amateur sports and recreation. Einar was also a dedicated Legionnaire where he was an active member to the date of his death, having served as President for two separate terms.

Einar was a builder of the community as he touched the lives of everyone he met with a smile, a kind word and a humorous anecdote. He is survived by and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Gladys of Estevan; son Rodney (Amron Hirsch) of Estevan; daughter Lynn (Dennis) Ball of Regina; son Grant (Penny) of Calgary; grandchildren, Jodi Ball, Julie Fagerheim, Brandon and Brett Fagerheim; sisters, Mary Bachynski of Estevan, Alice (Lloyd) Johnston of Calgary; also many nephews and nieces. She was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and worked in the Lands Department, Government of Kenya, until retirement, and then as a kindergarten teacher. She immigrated to Calgary in 1974. She was predeceased by her husband Martin in 1956, her daughter Merlin D'Sa in 1992, and her brother John Gracias in 1983. As a beloved mother and grandmother, Mathilda is survived by her son Rudolf (Hazel) Fernandes of Toronto, Ontario, and their children, Lisa-Marie (Aamir) Fazil, Tamara and Brendan; her son Leonard (Jeanne) Fernandes of Huntington, Connecticut, USA, and their children, Donna and Nigel; her daughter May (Douglas) de Souza and their daughter Cheri-Lynn (Dale) Walters of Calgary; her son Camilo Fernandes of London, England; and grandchildren, Janice and Martin, children of Merlin (John) D'Sa of Calgary. She is a also survived by a sister Lily (Joaquim) Lisboa of Nairobi, Kenya.

Mathilda will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed as a lively, caring and generous lady, by her family, her many relatives and friends spread across the five continents. Special thanks to Dr. John Van Olm for his attentive care, and to the staff of Carewest Royal Park where Mathilda spent these last twenty-two months. Telephone: 297-0888. Forever Remembered -058776 FLETCHER Lloyd H. Fletcher of Calgary passed away at his home on January 26, 2001 after a long illness at the age of 79 years. Lloyd was born in Calgary on June 5, 1921 and grew up at Delia on his father's homestead. He enlisted in the army in 1940 in the 1st Division Ammunition Company then later transferred to the 4th Field Transfusion Company.

He spent four and a half years overseas and returned home New Years Day 1946. On returning to Calgary he worked for the Calgary Transit for thirty years, retiring in June 1976. He was a member of Confederation Park Seniors, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 264 and associate member of Crescent Heights Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Christina of fifty-three years; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Les Spencer and Joan and Paul McAleese; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by two brothers, Harry and Russel; and a sister Ethel. Deaths 860 -051910 HENDERSON Catherine Helen (Mercer), at home FRASER Donna Jane, born November 9, 1941 in Edmonton, Alberta, passed away peacefully in New Westminster on January 24, 2001. Predeceased by her parents, Dr. Sperry and Kathleen Fraser, she leaves her cousins, Rae Geddes of Edmonton (Jack), Michael Gaetz of Texas (Betty), Peggy Stewart of Austin, Texas (Kent), Norman Reiber of California, and Ralph Sperry of Edmonton, their children and a host of friends. She will also be missed by all of her friends' children who remember her fondly as Auntie Donna.

Donna was a graduate of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority and throughout her life an active and prominent political participant in the Alberta and Federal Progressive Conservative Parties and more recently the BC Liberal Party. At her death she was constituency president of both the New Westminster-Coquitlam-Burnaby aby Progressive Conservative Association and the New Westminster BC Liberal Association. To the end she threw herself in the political causes she believed in so strongly and was a vital part of the Progressive Conservative campaign in BC in 2000. She was proud of her heritage and an enthusiastic member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders. She will be missed by her family and friends across North America.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 1:00 p.m. at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 6210 188 Street, Edmonton. Cremation has already taken place. Interment to take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date.

Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Charles and Helen Mercer, the family moved frequently throughout the Prairie Provinces. She attended Rupert's Land College in Winnipeg and graduated from St. Hilda's here in Calgary.

She and Captain Henderson were married in Fort Macleod in 1929 and lived in Waterton Lakes, Lethbridge and Calgary. She was active for many years in the A.C.W. of the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, the Home and School Association of Elbow Park and Central Collegiate, and the Canadian Red Cross Society. She was also one of the original members of the Women's League of the Calgary Symphony Orchestra. Catherine was awarded the Order of Merit by the Canadian Girl Guides Association for her ten year involvement as a Brown Owl of the Christ Church Brownies and later as the Central District Commissioner for the Brownies and Guides; which included the Cathedral Church of the Redeemer, the Salvation Army Citadel, St.

John Church, Sacred Heart Church and St. Stephen's Church. She was also a member of the Alberta Light Horse Association during its formative years and worked for the Calgary Public Library for twelve years. The family would like to thank all the ladies at the Calgary Home Support who cared for Catherine, especially Michelle Copeland. She was keenly interested in politics and wished the best for her country. Animals and gardening always played an important part in her life. Catherine will remembered for her wit and intelligence, sparkling blue eyes, love of a good party, and above all, her marvelous sense of humour.

-114054 HUCIK Mrs. Helen Marie Hucik (nee Mclsaac), beloved wife of Louis Thomas Hucik, formerly of Blairmore, left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27,2001 at the Foothills Hospital at the age of 80 years. Helen was born in Coleman on September 5, 1920. She attended elementary school in Burmis and high school in Bellevue and Pincher Creek. Helen graduated as a teacher from Normal School in Calgary with a teacher's certificate.

She then attended the Victoria University to obtain a B.C. certificate. Helen taught school for two years in B.C. and fifteen years in Alberta. Helen married Louis Hucik on July 29, 1950 in St.

Anne's Catholic Church in Blairmore. She was a member of the B.C. Teachers Federation and the Alberta Teacher's Association. She was a member of the Catholic faith and the C.W.L. and served on the Pastoral Council.

Helen is predeceased by her parents, her father Allen Mclsaac on October 22, 1962, her mother Mary Catherine (Gillis) Mclsaac on September 18, 1990, both in Calgary, brother John D. Mclsaac in Calgary, sister-in-law Micheline (Ambrosia) Mclsaac in 1990, brother-in-law Louis Biegun, Calgary in 1991, nephew Andrew Mclsaac, Surrey, B.C. in 1990, Donald Peden, Prince George, BC in 1988. Left to mourn and to celebrate her life include her loving family, her husband Louis of Calgary; three sons, Wayne (Susan) Hucik in Calgary, Charles (Christine) Hucik in Red Deer, John (Louise) Hucik in Calgary; two daughters, Catherine "Cassie" Hucik in Calgary, Gertrude 'Trudy' Hucik in Lethbridge; four grandsons, James, Nicholas, David and Chad; two brothers, Andrew Mclsaac, Calgary, and Charles (Marion) Mclsaac, Surrey, B.C.; one sister Gertrude Biegun, Calgary, AB and several nieces and nephews. Before moving to Kamloops, Bert was a resident of Calgary, Edmonton and Hanna. revoir, old -082740 JAMIESON Mabel Kathleen Jamieson (nee Jull) passed away at the Bethany Care Centre, Cochrane, Alberta, on January 29, 2001 at the age of 98 years. Mabel was born in Rosser, Manitoba on December 24, 1902 to Walter and Mary Jull. She lived in Winnipeg, Victoria and Calgary.

She married David Airth Jamieson in 1929 who predeceased her in 1941. Mabel was also predeceased by a son Michael Airth Jamieson in 1993. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Diana and Pat, and her son Phillip and their families as well as Michael's family. A Celebration of Mabel's life will be held at a later date. Deaths 860 KEEBLER Emily (nee Burback) from Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Scottish Extended Care on Sunday, January 28, 2001 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Winnipeg, MB, on April 30, 1909. She is survived by one sister Lydia; one son Allan (Shirley); nine daughters, Shirley, Dot (Doug), Marge, Carrie (Jim), Edna, Gloria, Diane (Ken), Patsy (Harold) and Maxine (Tom), as well as by her sister-in-law Linda.

She will be missed by her eight granddaughters, seventeen greatgranddaughters, twenty-six grandsons and twenty -eight great-grandsons. Emily lived in Spirit River, AB, for twenty-three years moving to Edmonton and then living in Calgary since 1961. Emily was a very stylish caring lady. She loved dancing, her friends and family called her "Disco Granny'. She would not go anywhere without her beads and earrings.

Emily enjoyed life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at the Scottish Extended Care Home for all of their care and help. The world is a darker place with the passing of a great man. Raymond Joseph Lajeunesse passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2001. He leaves to mourn, his daughter Laurette (Brian); and his granddaughter Holly; as well as his sister Laurette Mayer. Born on March 17, 1919 in Rivers, MB, he was a Veteran of the Second World War. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Leforest was born in Fundale, Saskatchewan and educated at Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberta. He served as a pastor and missionary in Whitehorse, Yukon during the years of 1946 to 1958 before moving to Edmonton where he worked for Beulah Alliance Church and then, after many years of service within the provincial government, he retired in 1975.
