Noy 'Kung Fu' kids help hurricane victims can be dropped off at the school all through the month of November between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. East West Kung Fu is on the north end of Franklin at 4223 Bowling Green Road. Steven O'Nan said, "We look forward to holding these events every year for the kids in our community.

We feel it is very important for kids to learn to help other kids who are less fortunate than O'Nan, "What better way to learn about Halloween safety than by having a little fun and helping out the public at the same time." Over 100 canned goods were collected in all and sere donated to the Salvation Army to be distributed to Hurricane victims who have been relocated. She was the first woman to serve as president of the Kentucky Historical Society and was instrumental in development of the Kentucky Historical Highway Marker program. Later, she was a founding member of The Murray Art Guild, sponsor of the Land Between the Lakes Art Festival. She served as head of special collections in the library of Murray State University. In Frankfort, she worked at the Kentucky State Library and Archives, assisting patrons with genealogical research and working to promote the activities of the Friends of the Archives. Memorial contributions are suggested to organizations that promote a more educated world. Edna Myers Milliken Edna Myers Milliken, 84, died July 25, 2005 in Birmingham, Ala. She lived most of her adult life in the Kentucky towns of Franklin, Murray and Frankfort. A native of Nashville, she was married to the late Sam Lew Moore II and the' late Charles Duncan Milliken. She is survived by one son, Sam Lew Moore III of Birmingham, two daughters, Kitty Lou Milliken of Austin, Texas and Elizabeth Milliken Ross of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, and four As a young woman, she performed in The Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman Auditorium as one of the Sunbonnet Girls under the stage name Etty.
