She was predeceased by her parents. Shari was born in Calgary, raised in Medicine Hat and raised her family and worked in Red Deer. She was a devoted, generous and giving mother and grandmother. She lived for her grandchildren and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

Ewald Boehm of Calgary, beloved father, Opa and great-Opa, passed away peacefully on November 26, 1999 at the age of 89 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by four sons and daughters-in-law, Wes and Sheila, Calgary, Vernon and Helen, Oyen, Don and Mary, Medicine Hat, Duncan, Nelson, B.C., June, Vancouver, B.C.; ten grandchildren, Jim (Sue) Johnston, Russell Johnston, Marlene (Graham) Caskey, Sandra (Steven) Rude, Louise (Wolf Leonhardt) Johnston, Gabriel Johnston, Daryl (Simona) Johnston, Nadine (Thomas) Pinay, Adrian Johnston, Shemiya Johnston; and nine greatgrandchildren, Justin Caskey, Cheryl Holm, Christine Caskey, Shelaine Rude, Michael Johnston, Scott Rude, Allison Leonhardt, Anita LeBlanc, David Leonhardt. She is also survived by her sister Hazel Somerville, Carstairs; two brothers, Russell (Laura) Vogel, Calgary, and Charles (Betty) Vogel, Vernon, B.C.; one sister-in-law Myrtle Cochrane of Scarborough, and many nephews and nieces.

She cherished her family, neighbors and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Effie and Charles Vogel, by Russell Johnston, her husband of fifty-five years, and a grandson David Johnston. Louise Johanna Vogel was born August 4, 1905 in Ottawa, Ontario. The family ranched in the Westcott district, west of Carstairs. Louise attended Normal School in Calgary and began her teaching career in a rural school at the age of seventeen.

She later taught in the Cypress Hills and the Helmsdale district. In 1928 she married Russell Johnston and they farmed at Helmsdale until retiring to Calgary in 1966. While sharing in the farm work and raising their family of four sons, Louise became active in farm organizations, particularly the United Farm Women of Alberta (UFWA). A longtime active member, in 1946 she became the director for her local district. From 1963 to 1967 she served as president of the successor organization, the FWUA.

During these years she was active in many areas: Goldeye Teen camps, the Alberta Education Council, the provincial Curriculum Committee, presentations to various levels of government asking for improvements in the areas of education, health and social welfare. In 1964 she was a part of one of the first Canadian groups to visit China. Her contributions were acknowledged by her appointment to the Senate of the University of Calgary from 1966 to 1969, and by her election to the Alberta Agricultural Hall of Fame in 1982. In September of 1999 she was recognized by inclusion in the new book 'Two Hundred Remarkable Alberta Women" by Kay Sanderson, published by The Famous Five Foundation. For the past two years she was a resident of the Calgary Bethany Care Centre.

Forever Remembered -231304 JORGENSEN Andrew Soren Jorgensen of Claresholm and formerly of High River, Blackie and the Jenner area, passed away at the Willow Creek Auxiliary Hospital at Claresholm on November 27, 1999 at the age of 94 years. He was born to Ingvor and Laurentine Jorgensen on August 26, 1905 at Omaha, Nebraska.

His mother passed away a short nine months later. In 1913 the family emigrated to Canada to stake out a homestead in the Bingville area which is now part of the Suffield Military Base. From here they went to Markerville then back to the prairies to the Jenner area. It was here that Andy married the love of his life, Ethel Millard. For the next ten years they farmed at Jenner and during this time their three children were born.

In 1944, together with his brother Chris, a farm was purchased east of Blackie which stayed in the family until 1980. Andy was known for his ability to repair and create anything mechanical in his farming operation and after his semiretirement to High River in 1963, he was the neighborhood 'Handy Andy', fixing everything from leaky faucets to lawn mowers for the neighbors. Travel and photography were his great interests and with his loving wife at his side, he enjoyed trips to Japan, Denmark and several visits to Hawaii. Probably his greatest legacy to his children is his hard work ethics and his devotion to those he loved. Andy is survived by his children, Shirley Stein of Hedley, B.C., David and Connie Jorgensen, Hermiston, Oregon and Francis Fleischman of High River; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife Ethel on November 12, 1997, his son-in-law Milt Fleischman in 1991, his brother Chris, two sisters, Marie Jesperson and Ellen Jensen, a grandson Jonathan Gritten and two greatgranddaughters.

Dorothy 'Dot' Pringle (nee Galloway) beloved wife and best friend of Garry Pringle of Innisfail, passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on Friday, November 26, 1999, after a lengthy illness, at the age of 79 years. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by one son William 'Bill' Pringle of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; three sisters-in-law, Doris Galloway of Vermilion, AB, Margaret Gilmour and her husband Barr of Calgary, Mary Pringle of Nanaimo, B.C. She is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews as well as one special and longtime friend Joy Burnett of Vermilion, AB. She was predeceased by her parents, Alec and Margaret Galloway of Vermilion, two brothers, Robert and Pringle Galloway and one sister Margaret Nelson of Vermilion. Dorothy was born and educated in Vermilion.

She was a graduate of the Royal Alex School of Nursing in Edmonton and the University of British Columbia, where she obtained her diploma in Public Health. Garry and Dorothy were married in 1948 at Central United Church in Calgary, later living in High River, Cardston and the past forty three years in Innisfail. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Innisfail United Church, 4720 48 Avenue, Innisfail, on Friday, December 3, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Barbra Martin officiating. He leaves to mourn his passing, his six children, Selassie (Amy) of New York, USA, Reginald (Iris) of St. Croix, U.S.VI, Victoreen of Tobago, WI, Maureen of Calgary, Blondel of St. Croix, U.S.VI, and Sydney of Antigua, WI.

Selwyn also leaves to remember him his two stepchildren, John (Sylvia) Terry and Yvonne Terry. There will be many grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and friends that will miss him. He was born in Tabernacle Village, St. Kitts, WI, and moved to Calgary in 1985 which he was happy to call home. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at MOUNTAIN.

--266024 TELFORD Mr. Gordon Telford of Calgary, passed away suddenly at home on November 25, 1999, at the age of 46 years. Gordon was employed by the Royal Bank of Canada, working at numerous branches throughout Calgary for twenty five years, most recently acquiring the position of Mortgage Specialist. Gordon loved hiking in the mountains, travelling, ten-pin bowling, spending time with his many friends, and appreciated classic cars. Besides his loving parents, John and Gwen Telford, Gordon is survived by his brother Kevin and his wife Michelle Telford, and sister Deb and her husband Dan Lambert.

He was a loving uncle to Michelle and Brent Lambert, and Jennifer and Michael Telford, all of Calgary. Gordon will be sadly missed by family and friends.
