Harry, beloved husband of Jane of Calgary, passed away on February 12, 2001 at the age of years. Besides his loving wife he is survived by three sons and their families, Laird (Judy), Keith (Judy), and Darren (Sharon); and eight grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Hope Lutheran Church, 3527 Boulton Road N.W.

on Friday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. A tree will be planted in his memory. -112801 ARMSTRONG William George Armstrong, beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Armstrong of Calgary, passed away the Bethany Care Centre on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, at the age of 90 years. Besides his loving wife, George will be dearly missed by two sons, William 'Bill' (Phyllis) of Golden, British Columbia and David (Helen) of Comox, British Columbia.

George will also be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Helen Wemp and Marion Smith; brothers-in-law, Joe (Pat) Laycock, Stu Laycock; and his sister-in-law Joyce Laycock. George was predeceased by his father and mother, Edwin and Elizabeth, sister Annie Ashley Smith, brother Edwin, brothers-in-law, William and Doug Laycock and sisters-in-law, Annetta Hunter and Edith Armstrong. George was born on April 17, 1910 in Langdon, Alberta. He moved from the Langdon area to the Indus, Alberta area where he met and married Mary Laycock in 1936 and then moved to the Cochrane, Alberta area and farmed there for sixty years. In 1997.

George moved to the Bethany Care Centre where he resided until his death. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Bethany Care Centre Staff for their excellent attention that he received throughout his stay there. A Memorial Service will be held in the Link Chapel (Fifth Floor North) of The Bethany Care Centre (916 18A Street N.W., Calgary, Alberta) on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jean Morris officiating.

-125872 ATKINSON Betty Joan. Betty went joyfully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, February 11, 2001, following a short but valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away at the Foothills Hospital. Born Betty Harford in Vancouver, BC on February 24, 1936, she is survived by her loving husband Bill of forty-two years, (who shared her birthdate); three daughters, Brenda (Bruce) Damen of Calgary, Barbara (Steve) Keeley of Kelowna, BC, and Belinda (Constantine) Pefanis of Calgary; four grandchildren, Chris, Chelsee and Saje Damen, and Jason Keeley; also three sisters, Shirley Friesen and Marian Toews of Kaleden, BC and Ethel Watts of Toronto, Ont. Betty loved her many handicrafts and was an active member in Christian Women's, TOPS, and Time-Out groups, and will be remembered fondly by her many friends for her strong Christian faith and for her caring and compassionate soul.

BOUX Joseph Hubert (Jos), beloved husband of Irene Boux of Calgary, Alberta, passed away at the Glamorgan Care Centre on Tuesday, February 13, 2001 at the age of 82 years. Joseph was born on February 28, 1918 in St. Norbert, Manitoba. He lived in Manitoba until 1959 then relocated to Calgary with his wife Irene. Jos and Irene were married on September 2, 1939 at St.

Boniface Cathedral in St. Boniface, Manitoba. He had a big heart for animals, music and children. Jos had a magnetic personality, he loved his girls at Foothills Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife Irene of sixty-one years; daughters, Jackie (Dennis) and Helene (Larry); a sister Harriette; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous -nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Beatrice Robinson, husband Toby Gower, and sisters, Helen and Myrtle. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Valerie (Ron), Lynn (Tom), and Lorna (Mike); her son Michael; grandchildren, Cody, Kyle and Sarah; brother Albert; sisters, Dorothy, Aileen and Della; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was born in 1930 in Cartwright, Manitoba, where she later met and married Toby Gower, they then moved to Calgary with their young family in 1957. Joyce was an avid Thoroughbred-racing fan with a love of horses that went back to her early days of growing up on the family farm; she also had a strong interest in Canadian politics. Joyce took great pride in the accomplishments of children and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Holmes of Calgary, beloved husband of Shirley, passed away suddenly at his residence on February 14, 2001 at the age of 62 years. Hib was born on September 18, 1938 in Elmira, Ontario. Besides his loving wife, Hib is survived by a son Daryl Holmes; a daughter Tammy Boizard, both of Calgary, and four grandchildren, Brianna, Jordan, Nathan, and Brooklynn. He is also survived by a sister and brother-inlaw, Grace and Marcel Leonard of Brantford, ON; his stepmother Jean of Burlington, ON, and numerous nieces and nephews. Hib was predeceased by his parents, Guy and Della Holmes.

Hood, 88 years of age, died February 12, 2001 in Calgary. He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Juanda; their daughters, Cheryl Parmele of Kirkland, WA, and Nancy Holley Hood of Dallas, TX; and his sister Dorothy Bridgeman of Bellflower, CA. Left to celebrate Mary's life are her two daughters, Jane Ellen Jones and Judy Lee (Brian) Berry, and two precious grandchildren Megan Elizabeth and David William who were the light of her life. Also left to celebrate her life are her nieces, Jean MacKenzie, Margaret Alford, Helen Huber, and Margaret Kolotyluk, and her nephews, Robert Alford and Clarence MacKenzie. Mary was the last born to Jane (nee: Gladstone) and Robert McCulloch on September 1, 1920 at Leo, Alberta.

This was a pioneer homestead family from Scotland. Mary joined the Medical Corps of the Canadian Army and served for five years assigned to London during the Battle of Britain (she spent many nights sleeping in basements, underground shelters and under her bed). In 1948 Mary met and married Roy Marcel Jones. She later went into farming and gardening along with her husband Alix, Alberta. Mary also spent many years working as the Director at a children's daycare center in Calgary.

She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1985, and her sisters, Bessie Alford and Nellie MacKenzie and brothers, Robert, James and William McCulloch. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. The family extends grateful thanks to those who provided care, al and assistance for Mother, Dr. William Hall, Patricia RN, Phyllis Lalm, BScP, George Lahm, Rob Gillard, the Home Care Services staff, and neighbors John and Mary Gazsi. A Memorial Service will be held in Mississauga, Ontario, with a Graveside Service to follow in Calgary later in the year.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son Lionel; daughter Marie Louis; grandchildren, Tim and Justin; sister Zena and brother Peter of England. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Martin. Always proud of her English heritage, Edna embraced life, laughter, teatime, her friends, family and pets. The family express their most sincere thanks to the staff of the Peter Lougheed Hospital 43. Kay was born in Kirriemuir, Alberta in 1920 and moved to Calgary as a young child. She worked most of her adult life in the fur industry as a fur finisher and monogrammer. She was predeceased by her husband Mickey, sister Elsie and her very special friend Adam Fulton. Kay will be missed most for her great sense of humor, her bad jokes and her willingness to listen.

(within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 16, 2001, at 11:00 a.m. with an open house to follow at Kay's home. -067299 CORDS Mr. Ronald Henry passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on February 13, 2001, at the age of 76 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Roni is sadly missed and survived by his wife Jean of forty-eight years; four children, Keith, Kim (Greg), Kara (John), and Krista (Ryan); three special grandchildren, Ashley, Corey and Kristine; as well as three brothers and one sister. Ron was born August 11, 1924 in Grandview, Manitoba. In 1953, Ron moved to Exshaw, Alberta, where he resided until 1997 at which time he and Jean retired to Calgary.

Ron was employed with Lafarge in Exshaw for thirty-six years. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at Ralph Connor Memorial United Church, 617 8 Street (Main Street), on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Catherine McLean officiating. Forever Remembered -122766 CUNNINGHAM Terrance Wayne Cunningnam, a thoughtful, courageous, and understanding intellect, lover of nature, and a collector of intellectual "junk" in the form of quotes, died peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2001. Born in Vancouver, BC to Mary Laura Clarke and David Boyd Cunningham on September 9, 1944 (both deceased). Terry enjoyed growing up in Calgary, with his sister Joan Dibben (now living in Alberta Beach with husband Norman); brothers, Phil (and Dar of Calgary), Michael (and Kimiko now residing in Bethlehem, PA), and brother Alan (deceased).

Terry met his lifetime mate, Elaine in 1972 and after a long courtship, married her in December of 1984 and was "the best father lever had" to their son Jon Telehanic. In May of 1993, Jon married Judy Streblow and four years later they came home with his only grandson Zachary, who brought much joy to Terry's life. After a short career with CP Rail, Terry worked for the City of Calgary Parks Department where he spent time outdoors with nature and plants, an environment he most enjoyed. In April of 1989 he became a Transit Operator and earned merits for accident free driving, and commendations for providing good service. In October of 1998 Terry moved to the Fanning Centre where he continued his long battle with Shy Dragers Disease.

'TC' will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, sister and brothers-in-law. and everyone who knew him, and remembered him as an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge, which he was happy to share with everyone. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Alliance Church, 1201 Glenmore Trail S.W. with Reverend Norman Dibben officiating.

Lloyd Eckroth, beloved husband of Madeline (Maddy) of Calgary, Alberta, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, went to be with his Lord at the age of 71 years. Lloyd was born in Medicine Hat on October 25, 1929. Lovingly missed by his wife Madeline (Maddy) of fortynine years. Also surviving are his children, Leslie Robson (Rick), Joanne Fechner (Ron), Ross Eckroth (Janet) and Patricia Coyston (Jim); and much loved grandsons and granddaughter, a brother Ron and a sister Gladys. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Cecil Menzies, her son LeRoy A.

Dunsmore and two sisters, Louise Miller and Margaret Needrum. Agnes worked with her husband, Cecil, operating Cecil Drug Store on Bowness Road. She also loved to travel and had many wonderful trips. Agnes was also an active member of the Women of the Moose in Bowness for forty years. A private celebration of Agnes' life will take place on Friday, February 16, 2001.

Special mention to her daughter-in-law Marilyn Neary for all her kindness over the years. Our wonderful Mom and Granny will be sadly missed by all. She dedicated her life to her children and was always generous and supportive to her friends.

He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Sheree, Debbie, Michael, Calen; Carrie, and Georgina, sister Helen Jennifer, Booth and of Grant; Terrace, a great B.C. grandson was predeceased by his parents, Dimitro and Frances Skarupa, a sister Ann, a brother Harry, and grandson John. Jean graduated from the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing. She later met and married Thomas Stone, in Calgary, Alberta, on September 4, 1953. Jean Ann (Ralston) Stone was predeceased by her parents, George Dewitt Ralston and Ada Annie (Church) Ralston, her husband Thomas Olliver Stone and infant son Frederick William Stone. Jean is survived by her daughters, Beverley (Brian) McNeely, Dawna Stone, Marilyn Stone, Elizabeth (Ron) Ollenberger, Laurel (Doug) Buck; son Thomas Stone; and nine grandchildren. Angie was born on December 13, 1955 in Calgary. She graduated from St. Francis High School and obtained her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and C.G.A.

Angie was very athletic and loved to ski, play tennis and was a member of Mount Pleasant Tennis Club. She also loved gardening and traveling to Mexico to practice her Spanish. She is survived by her mother Irene Sullivan of Calgary; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Brian and Karin Sullivan of Calgary, Robert and Mathilde Sullivan of Mexico, and Matthew Sullivan of Calgary; a sister Cynthia Tkaczuk of Calgary; two nieces, Mary Sullivan and Stefanie Sullivan; two nephews, Andrew Sullivan and Alex Tkaczuk; and her former husband Tom Douglas as well as an aunt and uncle, numerous cousins and many friends. Angie was predeceased by her father Edward Sullivan. Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church (610 2 Avenue N.E.) on Friday, February 16, 2001 at 2:00 p.m.
