Organized labor in the Pittsburgh district today moved to insure early trial of the officials of the defunct Brotherhood Savings and Trust Company bank under indictconspiracy charges in connection with the Charles E.

The Central Labor Council, representative of labor in this district, after a hectic session in more radical members advocated immediate legal action to bring Roland McCrady, president of the labor bank, J. L. Nelson and William Kelly, officers, to trial in the case, decided to send a representative to confer with District Attorney Samluel H. Gardner.

The laborites, stirred by published reports that charges against the bankers might be nolle prossed following Knapp's plea of no defense and subsequent sentence to to 3 years in the Western Penitentiary, are prepared to demand immediate action in the deal which wrecked the labor bank. The labor bank's loss in the Knapp bonds deal has been estimated at $150,000, and in indictments against the men involved it was charged that bank heads conspired with Knapp to purchase nearly a million dollars worth of paper for $340,000.
