Clark merits praise for the pleasure he has afforded our citizens in putting the brilliant display of home talent so successfully before them for so early in the season. It was a brilliant opening at the opera house and considering the unfavorable weather at the beginning of the entertainments and the heavily impregnated atmosphere and gas resulted in a grand success. It was an occasion long to be remembered by the young folks who were participants In it. Mrs. Naomi Anderson a colored lady of this city has drawn on silk, a beautifully designed map of Sedgwick county.

It is neatly gotton up and contains all of the latest railroad surveys up to date. It was elegantly mounted and sent to the World's Exposition at New Orleans, together with a number of original poems printed on card board. The map contained a photograph of the governor elect Martin and the card contained a photo of the author of tne and compiler of the map. The photo and frames were executed at the Wichita Art Gallery The Clifford dramatic company are bllledior the opera house in this city on next Friday and Saturday evening. This company is a favorite with Wichita audiences as their many visits here fully testily and when Edwin Clifford's and Constance SUnley's names are put OPEN ALL THE SNIVBLY WILHITE.
