She had been a teacher in the Carroll County public schools before her employment with the Carroll County National Bank from which she retired several years ago because of ill health. Miss Herr was a member of Westminster Methodist Church.

She was graduated from Western Maryland College in 1903. She was a daughter of the late Frank K. and Ellen Trump Herr. Surviving are a sister, Miss S. LaRue Herr, with whom she resided, and a brother, Ober S.

Herr Westminster. Funeral services will be held at the Herr residence Thursday at 2 p. m. The Rev. Harold R.

James Clyde Taylor, 29, Buck Horn Road, Sykesville D. suffered third degree burns over 95 per cent of body in the explosion Monday morning at the Woodbine Wrecking Co. where he was cutting a junked truck with an acetylene torch. The truck's gasoline tank exploded, spraying Taylor with gas flames. Mt.

Airy firemen gave him first aid and then took him to the Frederick hospital. Fire Chief Edward Rim by said the explosion was so forceful that it rocked buildings 100 feet away. He said that eye witnesses reported all of clothes ignited and that they had trouble extinguishing the flames, finally getting the victim rolled in blankets.
