New notices are marked by an 860 RICHARDS Victorine (Vlcki) Marie, passed away at Rockyview Hospital on October 13, 2000. Vicki was bom in Ste. Ameiie, Manitoba, on January 2, 1912 to Germain and Pauline Moriaux. She was a teacher in Manitoba for twenty-five years.

When Vicki superannuated in 1971, she relocated to Calgary, Alberta. Vicki was a devoted member of the Canadian Authors Association. She was coordinator of the Century Calgary Historical series of books about Calgary by local authors which were published in 1975. She co-authored the book "From Slate Pencil To Instant a collection of articles about schools in Calgary built before 1930. She contributed many hours of volunteer service at the Kerby Centre and the Calgary Public Library.

Vicki was predeceased by her sisters. Ameiie and Irma, and her brother John. She will be sadly missed by her son Alan (Lee) Richards, and their children, Karen, Dawn and Gary; as well as her daughter Sylvia Baillargeon, and her children, David, Christine and Kathy. Vicki is also survived by three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date.

RIEDER Allan Rieder, beloved husband of Kathleen of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Saturday, October 14. 2000 at the age of 62 years. Besides his loving wife. Allan is survived by two sons, Mark of Grimshaw, Michael of Ecuador; two daughters, Karen and Gayle and daughter-in-law Vilma, all of Calgary; three grandchildren, Adam, Steven and Pablo. He is also survived by four sisters, Lorene Chambers of Vancouver, B.C., Liz Emms, Aileen Bond, Louella Chisholm; and sister-in-law Liz Rieder; and a brother Gus Rieder, all of Saskatchewan.

SHAW Jean Shaw of Calgary, passed away at the George Boyack Nursing Home on October 16, 2000 at the age of 87 years. Jean was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Branch No. 1 and the CWL.

Andy was bom in Korea, and came to Canada in 1974. He was employed with the City of Calgary Waterworks as an Environmental Engineer and was also a successful business owner. Andy retired at the age of fifty-five years.

Andy is survived by two sons, Brian and Charles; and a brother Tony; and two sisters, Helena and Hyeia. McCLELLAND Mrs. Marion Ruth McClelland, beloved wife of the late Edward McClelland passed away on October 16, 2000.

Marion was born on March 26, 1921 on a farm outside of Virden, Manitoba and grew up in rural Saskatchewan before moving to Ocean Falls, BC and worked in a paper mill during the war years. She moved to Calgary after the war and was working at the downtown Bay when she met and married Ed McClelland in 1955. Upon Ed retirement in 1974 they moved to the village of Delburne, AB, where they bought a small farm. Marion became very active in the community, she belonged to the Royal Purple, the Friendship Group, the U.C.W. of the United Church and the Delburne Curling Club, to name a few.

The early retirement years were enjoyable. A few years after Ed deaih, Marion returned to Calgary with her daughter until the time of her passing. She will be forever missed by her two daughters, Amy and Jacqui of Calgary; her son Mike of Fort St. John, BC; her sisters, Joan Stephenson of Regina and Clare and husband Dick Sheppard of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by those who knew her for her friendly and good natured disposition.

She was predeceased by her sister Adeline and her brother Arthur. She leaves to celebrate her life, her daughter Linda, son David: and her many friends. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Bert, their second son Rob, and her brother Humphrey Collier Tyson. Elsie was a member of the Edmonton Ladies' Auxiliary to Shrmers Hospitals, the Wild Rose Ramblers Walking Group and participated actively in the Coronation Pool Acquasize program.

Franc was born in Zamesko, Slovenia on December 21, 1930. He immigrated to Vancouver, B.C.

on May 27, 1957 followed by his wife Vera in 1960. In 1961 Franc moved together with his family to Calgary and resided here since. Franc owned and operated Calgary Bumper Repair until his retirement in 1998. He is survived by one son and one daughter-in-law and a daughter, Charlie and Barb, Breda, all of Calgary; two brothers, two sisters and their families, all in Slovenia. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all those friends that stood beside them with support and love during Franc's final battle.

GRAVES Florence Irene Graves passed away on Friday, October 13, 2000 at the age of 93 years. Irene was predeceased by her husbands, Floyd Page and Bill Graves, her daughter Joyce Bauman, as well as three sisters and five brothers. John worked the Midland Coal Mine until serving in the Royal Canadian Airforce during World War II. After leaving the airforce, he returned to the coal mines. In 1 946 John and Betty were married, moving to Calgary in 195) where they have resided since. John worked in the Dairy Industry for thirty-five years until his retirement in 1986. DALGLIESH Helen Alma of Kelowna, B.C., passed away in the Kelowna General Hospital on Sunday, October 15, 2000 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband Malcolm in 1996. EMERY UlianO. Emery passed away suddenly at the Westvew Senior Residence, on Friday, October 13, 2000 at the age of 89 years. Mrs. Emery was bom in Swift Current Saskatchewan, on December 25. 1910, to parents.

BLANCHARD Ethel Louisa Blanchard (nee Cfiappell), beloved wife of Dennis Blanchard of Calgary, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 13, 2000 at the age of 76 years. Born on May 10, 1924 on the family farm in Langham, SK, Ethel attended Queensland School and Tech College. She was employed with the Imperial Bank for twelve years and later pursued a career as a legal secretary. Ethel met Dennis Calgary and later married on October 3, 1953 in Saskatoon, SK. She loved piaymg her piano and enjoyed visiting with friends on her daily routine.

She cherished the ten years spent living in Sechelt. BC surrounded by mountains and the ocean. She thoroughly looked forward to regular visits with her extended family near the small farming community of Langham, SK. Ethel was a very kind, loving and supportive person. Besides her loving husband, Ethel is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Mel Densham of Calgary; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Maureen Blanchard of Carstairs, AB; and four grandchildren, Ryan and Christopher Densham and Tara and Alicia Blanchard.

She is also survived by a sister Evelyn Rousell of Langham, SK; two sisters-in-law, Hilda ChapoeU of Langham, SK and Dora Chaopell of Saskatoon, SK: and many nieces and nephews.
