Baldwin Lyman David Baldwin. 74, of Gas City, died Saturday at the Allen County Hospital. Bora at Hastings, Mr. Baldwin came to Allen County in 1895. He was retired and a former employee of the Lehigh Cement Co.

He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Oma Baldwin of the home; three sons, Nelson Baldwin of Bellflower, Howard and William James Baldwin, both of Iola; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m.

tomorrow at the Porter-Kinser Chapel with the Rev. Paul Pentz officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Alfred Fawks Mrs.

Cora E. Fawks, 85, of 106 North Fourth, died yesterday at the Fretz Rest Home in Iola. Born in Bates County, Missouri, Mrs. Fawks lived most of her life in Iola. Her husband, Alfred, died in 1948.

She was a member of the Baptist i Church and the Salem Chapter I of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include two daugh- ters, Mrs. Roy Iloleman of Iola and Mrs. W. R.

Morrow was driving a truck owned by Thompson Poultry, and loaded with dressed poultry. The truck was totally demolished and all the cargo lost. Poverty War Faltering, Says N.Y.
