Two detectives, checking out a Woodside apartment to see if it was occupied by a man who was found shot to death Tuesday, found the man's female roommate lying on the bed, strangled with a metal hanger.

The 22-year-old, attractive brunette was Identified by police yesterday as Karen Sheets, also known as Karen Parker. She apparently shared the seventh-floor apartment at 48-01 67th St. with James Parker, 34, according to Detectives William McDevitt and Brian Cosgrove of the Long Island City stationhouse.
