In a rematch of last season's RHI first-round playoffs, when the Calgary Rad'z beat the VooDoo, Vancouver erupted for seven unanswered goals en route to an 11-4 win at the PNE Agrodome The Rad's fell to 9-7-1 and now must share the division lead with Vancouver (9-4-1). Tied 4-4 late in the third period, VooDoo Ryan Harrison mounted an end-to-end rush before beating Calgary goalie Scott Krueger to the stick side.

The VooDoo followed that with six straight fourth-quarter markers. Guns swing big bats in win over Trappers EDMONTON (CP) A 19-hit attack paced the Calgary Cannons to a 9-7 win over the Edmonton Trappers in Pacific Coast League action Saturday night. Designated hitter Marc Newfield knocked out a pair of doubles, a triple and single with three runs scored to ignite the Cannons. The big inning for Calgary was the second when their first four batters all hit singles and scored against Edmonton starter Don Lemon, the losing pitcher (2-3). Darren Bragg and Quinn Mack each added three hits and two RBIs to the onslaught.

Bill Haselman also had a two-RBI game. Bob Wells (2-1) was the winning pitcher. Dave Brundage worked two and one-third innings with two strikeouts to earn his first Southwestern Bell Classic BELTON.
