Tullar was walking along the road when the automobile ran him down, the police were Informed. His body was found shortly after and he did not regain consciousness. The body Is being brought to Indlo where an inquest will be conducted Monday by Coroner C. S.

Dickinson, of Riverside. Tullar had lived In Colton for a number of years, most of which tlmo he was cared for by J. Thompson, of 844 East street, operator of a station at Mount Vernon and streets, Col ton. Believing that Tullar may have relatives In Colton, the police were last night asked by Coroner Dick- eon to assist in the case. He came to the mountains from Los Angeles and wandered about in the vicinity of his cabin throughout the night before shooting himself, BROKER'S FATE STILL IN DOUBT Jury Trying Case of Landsberg Again Ordered Locked Up by Superior Judge Warmer After having deliberated more than 3i hours, the jury in the trial of Nathan Landsberg, Los Angeles real estate and loan broker, on charges of forgery and perjury, was locked up for the second time last night at 10:15 o'clock. The case was given to the Jury for deliberation shortly before noon Saturday by Superior Judge Ben Jamin F. Warmer. Falling to reach a decision by 10 o'clock Saturday night, the jury was locked up.

Renewing their consideration yes terday, the Jury ciime into the court room at 9:30 o'clock and reported that they had not reached a ver dict. They were told by Judge Warmer to resume deliberation and spent the remainder of the day and until 10:15 o'clock last night without agreeing on a verdict. The Landsberg case is being tried for the second time, the first Jury having been discharged after re porting that it was hopelessly dead' locked. Salesman Is Named In Death of Wife (By Associated Press) CANTON. 0., Dec.

O. Heldman, Lorain furnace sales' man, will be given a hearing before Justice of the Peace Donald Smythe tomorrow on the charge that he was morally responsible for the death of his 21-year-old wife, Mar garet, on the n'ght of Dec. 13. The young woman, according to Heldman, fired a bullet Into her heart with the same .38 automatic which he said she used a week before in killing Vernard E. Fearn, Canton coal operator at the door of his home in Daco, a suburb, Heldman told Stark county of ficials that his wife confessed the slaying of Fearn herself, and killed herself while he was en route with her from Lorain to Canton to Bur- render herself.

It is on Heldman's own story, along with other evidence Investi gators have gathered that the first degree murder charge against him Is based, according to Coroner C. McQuate. The coroner said he expects to show that Heldman goaded his wife by warning her that she was head' ed for the electric chair, and by Inhuman treatment on their auto mobile trip from Lorain to Canton drove her to suicide. Boy Slightly Hurt As Struck by Auto Daryl Ashment, of 1107 Eleventh street, was slightly cut and bruised about the face and arms last night when he was knocked down by an automobile operated by Mrs. Ray E.
