Is Winner Minto Cup for Juniors Keen Competition Marks All Events At Minto Skating Club. Ursula Cole was the winner of the Minto Cup at the annual competitions of the Junior division ot the Minto Skating Club held on Saturday. By virtue of her triumph she becomes junior ladies' champion for the year.

There was no competition for the Soper Cup, emblematic of the boys' championship. In all the other events there was-keen competition and some surprises resulted. Connie Choquette was a three times winner, being successful in capturing the Potsdam Shield, the Devonshire Cup for intermediate girls, and the waltzing competition, in which she paired with Frank Sawers. She was second in the girls' pairs, in which her partner was her sister, Andree. Eleanor Bowler won the Wilson Cup.

and Pierrette Paquin the Devonshire Cup for girls of 12 and under. Jane Kirby won the Gil-inore Memorial Cup for girl novices and Don Tobin was the winner of the boys in the same event. Don Tobin also captured the Joan McNeil prize for the most improved boy skater. Frank Sawers won the Devonshire Cup for intermediate boys, and argot Merewether and Nancy Minnes the girls' pairs. Hew Robertson and Elizabeth Sheridan won, the ten-step competition.

(Serving 3 or 4) Chilled Tomato Juice Creamed Eggs on Buttered Noodles Savory Spinach Wholewheat Bread Apple Butter Spring Tonic Salad Sliced Oranges Fig Crispies Coffee (Adults) Milk (Children) Spring Tonle Salad. (Inexpensive) One tablespoon granulated gelatin, cup pineapple juice, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 cup boiling water, 4 cup grated carrots, Vi cup chopped cabbage, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, 1 teaspoon finely minced onion, 23 teaspoon salt, teaspoon white pepper, 2 tablespoons salad dressing. Soak gelatin five minutes in pineapple juice, add lemon juice and water. Stir until dissolved: Cool and add rest of ingredients.

Pour into mold, chill until firm. Fig Crispies. (Require little sugar) Two-third cup tat, Vi cup dark brown sugar, 2 "eggs, 1 teaspoon grated orange rind, 1 teaspoon vanilla, teaspoon almond extract, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons cream, 1 cup chopped figs, Vi cup chopped prunes (dried), 13 cup nuts, 3 cups uncooked oatmeal, 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon soda. Cream fat and sugar. 'Add eggs and beat well.

Pour in rest of ingredients and shape into two-inch roll. Wrap ia waxed paper and chill several hours. Cut off thin slices. Bake eight minutes on greased baking sheet in moderate oven. Season, carrot strips by soaking in cold water with a slice of onion.

Sprinkle the crisp strips with salt Just before they are served. Bananas dipped in strained honey, lightly sprinkled with lemon juice and a little salt and bake 15 minutes in a moderate oven make delicious side-partners for broiled fish steaks or fillets, chops or chicken.
