8-9. The board of governors of the Brooklyn Museum have accepted a major gift from realtor Harry B. Helmsley for their Decorative Art Galleries. The gift is a 19th century entrance hall and complete with wall panelings, floorboards, carved ceilings and oval-shaped upstairs railings, that were originally part of a mansion at 50th St. and Madison Manhattan.

Floyd Rappy of South Shore High School received a full scholarship to the School of Visual Arts as a result of Chemical Bank's eighth annual Art Focus program. In addition, Felix Fisher, also of South Shore, was awarded a $125 prize. Dianne Susan Landi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dante Landi of Bensonhurst, a Summa Cum Laude graduate of St John's University, will attend St John's Law School as the recipient of a St Thomas More scholarship.

A graduate of New Utrecht High School, Landi is a member of Kappa Gamma PI, the national Catholic college women's honor society.
