of Ottawa. She wore a smart costume of navy blue tree-bark crepe, the hip length coat trimmed with a blue fox collar and opening, over a rose pink crepe blouse. She wore a small French hat with short nose veil and a corsage bouquet of pink roses. Following the ceremony, a re- ception was held1 for the immcdi- ate friends. Mr.

Attended by Miss Gwendolyn Greer, of Brockville, the bride was given in marriage by hef father. Mr. Sheridan Singleton, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ivan Wills, and Ernest Willis, cousins of the bride and groom, acted as ushers. Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the home of the bride's parents.

No. 12 met at the home of Mrs. William Douglas for afternoon tea and sewing. This was the Iirst of a series of sewing meetings to be held weekly for the purpose of making toys and clothes for Christmas cheer. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs.

Villeneuve was general convener and much of the success of the tea was due. to her capable arrangements. Walker Calderone A quiet wedding took place in St. Patrick's Church on Monday, October 26, at 10 o'clock, when Dorothy, youngest daughter of Captain and Mrs. C.

Walker, was united In marriage to Mr. Gus. Calderone. eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.

George Calderone. Rev. Father Burke officiated. The bride was attired in a iirown ensemble, trimmed with mink fur. She wore a corsage of mauve orchids.

Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the home of the bride parents at 176 1-2 Ne- pean street Mr. and Mrs. G. Calderone left later on a motor trip to the Middle States. On their return they will reside in Ottawa.

Breakfast Club Meets. "Ottawa Credit Women's Breakfast Club held their first business meeting for the Autumn season on Tuesday morning at seven o'clock. The meeting was Opened with a sing-song led by Miss Olive Mather, and the president, Miss Ivy Riddle, gave a short talk on the constitution and bylaws of the club. The secretary, Miss Myrtle Holland, presented a report and that of the treasurer was given by Miss Dora Harwood. An interesting boost of Miss Margaret Rowan was given by Mrs.

Agnes Geekie. The boost prizes were won by Mrs. J. Gardiner and Miss M. Holland.

The members were entertained by Miss Kay Rollins, who gave two amusing recitations. The meeting was convened by Miss Dora Harwood, and new members were enrolled. To Visit Here. Mr. and Mrs.

Robert Manlon, who have been spending their honeymoon in Florida and in Washington D.C., arrive in Ottawa next week to spend a few days with Mr. Manion's parents, Hon. Sr. and Mrs. it.

The following statistics nresent- ed by Mrs. Erzinger, indicated the progress of the hospital in the year; patients in the hospital, Oc tober 1, 1938, 21; patients admitted, 621; clinic patients, 652; clinic patients admitted to the hospital, 151; number of patients in residence during the year, 621; capacity of beds. 55. There were no deaths during the year, and 299 patients were operated upon.

In the diet kitchen, there were 39,465 bottles of formula; 6,840 spoon feedings; 10.018 trays and 1,063 special trays. Seven young ladies were graduated at the ceremonies in June. Gratitude was expressed to the many fraternal organizations and service clubs, as well as individ uals for their increasing support. Thanks were voiced to the follow ing conveners: Mrs. W.
