Nine Men Missing After Boat Upsets In WhirlpooL VICTORIA, March 18. CP) A widespread search was started tonight for nine men reported nig late today after a 29-foot gas boat on which they tried riding with two other men upset when caught in a whirlpool in Seymour Narrows, about 110 miles northwest of Vancouver. Those saved were: M. E. Wilson and Andrew Mohlan, both dl Vancouver.

Missing were: Gordon Boyde, Dl Lyon, W. Hanson, D. Dim-ick. W. S.

Einanson, Tlynels, Robert Blaine, John Surgenor and an unidentified man. Home-towns of the missing were not known. British Columbia police said the gasboat was travelling from Maude Island to Menzies Bay across Seymour Narrows when the accident happened. Provincial police boats are searching the area. T.

Dunn, Veteran Of First Great War Member of a well-known Ottawa family and an officer overseas in the 229th Battalion, during the First Great War, Thomas Harold Dunn, died suddenly, on "Friday afternoon from a heart attack suffered on a street car Park. Mr. Dunn was in his 58th year. Born in L'Original, he was a.

of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Dunn, and was educated in Ottawa parochial schools and at the University of Ottawa.

For some years he was employed in the superintendent's office of the Canadian Pacific Railway at Pembroke and also in western Canada. He held the rank of captain in the 229th Battalion in the last war. On his return from overseas he resumed his work with the railway and at the outbreak-of -1 uui war tame iu uuiw iiiui was attached to the staff of the Department of Munitions and Supply as an accountant. Mr. Dunn was a member oz the former Great War Veterans' Association and the Canadian Legion.

He attended St. Patrick's Church. He is survived by his widow and one daughter; one sister. Miss Elizabeth Dunn of Ottawa; two brothers, Gordon of Mimico, and Alfred, of Bedford, England. a former well-known Ottawa oarsman.

Another sister. Miss Mary Dunn, died last year. The funeral will be on Monday morning at 7.45 from the parlors of Brothers, to St. Patrick's Church for requiem high mass at 8 o'clock. Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery.

NEIL CAMPBELL. Mrs. Eva Campbell, wife of Neil Campbell, an employe of the Canadian Pacific Railway, of 59 Anderson street, died in Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday, follow ing a short Illness. She was 57. A resident of Bromley town hip, until her marriage in 1913, he was the former Eva McGulnty, daughter of the late Mr.

BENTLEY. Mrs. Jennie Bentley, widow of Dr. Robie D. and a resident cf Ottawa for a number of years, died in the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Friday, following a short illness.

A native of Wallace, N.S., she was educated at Halifax. The former Jennie Morris, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John W. Morris.

In 1905 in Wallace she married Dr. Robie Bentley who died in 1922. Mrs Bentley was member of Mac- Kay United Church. She is survived by two Mrs. J.

He is survived by two brothers, Henry J. Sullivan, New York City and Charles A. Sullivan, Ottawa, and one sister. Miss Evelyn M. Sullivan, also of Ottawa.

The funeral will be held on Monday morning at 8.45 from the Whelan Funeral Home to Our Lady of Perpetual Help church for requiem high mass at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in Notre Dame cemetery. MRS. EDWARD CURREN. Mrs.

Edward Curren, 82, member of a well-known Ottawa district family, died on March 6 at Blggar, according to word received by relatives here. The former, Eleanor Jane Swan, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Swan and was born near Bell's Corners, and lived for aj time at City View. She was married to Edward Curren 44 years ago.

He died six years ago. Mrs. Curren attended the Church of England. She is survived by two sons, Edward and William of Cando, two brothers, Samuel Swan and Andrew Swan of Ottawa West; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Jeffrey, also of Ottawa West.
