Following the program, the little babies were given animal crackers for refreshments while their larger brothers and sisters enjoyed wafers and their mothers chatted over their tea cups. The parlors of the church, where the session was held, were decorated with poppies.

William Ashdown is charged by his cousin. Kdgar T. Ashdown, with battery, and the part that the two wives are to take In the trial as witnesses is the basis of much speculation. Report has it, and the divorce actions might seem to indicate it. that both will oppose their husbands In the court trial of William Ashdown.

Charges of undue attentions are flying back and forth Attorneys Daley Byrne represent Mrs. Ksther Ashdown in her divorce action and likewise William Ashdown in his suit for a separation from his wife. Attorneys Allison Dickson repre sent the other side in the feud. White Bus Line is to take the new name of the Motor Transit Company for its extensive orations in Southern California. This is the company which recently purchased the San Bernardino Mountain Auto Line.

All cars are to be painted yellow. Arrangements are being made for the union depot for the various lines of the company that will operate into Han Bernardino. There will bo big freight astation and repair plant in connection with the depot. A deal will shortly he closed for this depot. Effective May 1 the company will operate special mountain service out of Los AngeleH to connect with the stages here.

One car will leave Los Angeles at 8 a. tn. and the second ut 2 p. m. The Pacific Electric will operate a service connecting with the stages here, to leave Los Angeles at 9 a.

Mrs. Elizabeth Hooper Swansnn yesterday filed suit for divorce trom Lieutenant Ernest A. Swan son, foiled States Navy, retired, charging cruelty.
