Burkholder officiated. Given in marriage by W. elder. F. Durston of Calgary, the bride wore a gown of white Battenburg net over satin, fashioned with a fitted bodice, round neckline and a full-length skirt with a bustle.

and Mrs. E. King, of Vulcan. Canon Tully Montgomery officiated at the double ring ceremony. The bride and bridegroom wore I their uniforms of Air Force and Army.

They are spending their honeymoon in Calgary and Vulcan. HUMFREY-MacDONALD On June 28, at Knox Presbyterian Church in Calgary, a ding took place when Catherine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R.

John Will, all of Mazeppa. NONTELL-AKED Miss Madge Rankin Aked, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Aked of Calgary, was married on June 16 in Yellowknife, N.W.T., to Mr. P.

Arthur Nontell, second son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Nontell of Tisdale, Sask. The bride wore a frock of dusty rose crepe and fingertip veil caught in place with rosebuds.

Her corsage was of mauve orchids. Miss Eileen Bolch was bridesmaid and best man was Mr. William McKeown. A small reception was held at the home of Mr. Mrs.

W. H. Carruthers, where Carruthers and. gave the bridal toast. Mr.

and Mrs. Nontell are residing at present with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrse Edward Aked. BROWN-SNELL' A wedding of wide interest took place at St. Luke's Church, Red Deer, on July 14, when Miss Margaret Mabel (Peggy) Snell, only daughter and Mrs.

Harold J. Snell, became the bride of Capt. Frederick Ure Brown, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold A.

Brown of Drumheller. The ceremony was performed by Rev. L. W. G.

Hudson of Lacombe. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose an afternoon dress of mauve and blue with a corsage gladioli and roses. Lieut. Lillian Fry, C.W.A.C., bridesmaid, and Lieut. AnderTonias son supported the groom.

Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast served at the Club Cafe, and later in the day Capt. and Mrs. Brown left by train for Edmonton, the bride travelling in a beige suit with brown accessories. After a holiday at Edmonton and Ottawa, Capt. and Mrs.

Brown will make their home at Edmonton where Capt. Brown has charge of the casualty section of the Col. Mewburn Pavilion, University Hospital. Mrs. Brown has been active in young women's organizations, particularly the Junior I.O.D.E.

and the Hostess Club. The bridegroom, previous to enlisting in 1939 with the 13th Field Regiment, conducted a drug store in Red Deer and was a member of the Red Deer Kinsmen Club. He served overseas with the Canadian Artillery and was severely wounded in Italy. Out-of-town guests included the bridegroom's father and mother, Mr: and Mrs. Harold A.

Brown. BISHOP--VAN DER VELDE A wedding of interest took place on July 12 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. Van Der Velde of Dalemead when their daughter, Helen Verena, became the bride of Albert Bishop of Langdon.

Rev. Mr. Seiber officiated. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white sheer with insets of lace and long sleeves. She wore a chapel veil and a gold necklace, the gift of the bridegroom.

Her bouquet was of pink roses and white sweet peas. Miss Marjorie Van Der Velde was bridesmaid and Mr. Winston MacCeroy of Mossleigh was the best man. During the signing of the register, Miss Ruth Chalmers, niece of the bride, sang accompanied by Miss Delores Chilton, also a niece of, the bride, who played the wedding music. Later a reception was held on the lawn when more than 75 guests Bouquets of peonies flowers decattenderden orated the supper tables.

The flowers were sent from the home of Mr. Angus McKinnon of Dalemead. Mr. and Mrs. Bishop later left for a honeymoon at Banff and Waterton Lakes.

The bride wore printed silk jersey dress with a top coat of blue wool for travelling. On their return they will reside on the bridegroom's farm near Langdon. AARSBY-JENSEN Before the flower altar in the United church, Carstairs, July 10, Margaret Eileen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Knut Jensen of Morris, became the bride of Mr.

Chester Bud Aarsby, son of Mrs. I. Aarsby of Carstairs. Rev. W.

Smith officiated. The bride, given in by her father, wore a marriage! gown of white sheer with a chapel veil held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of 1 red roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Thelma Jensen. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr.

Orville Aarsby. The reception was held at the home of the bridegroom's mother. Mr. Cliff Aarsby proposed the toast to the bride. Mr.

and Mrs. Aarsby left later for Banff. The bride chose for travelling a lime green dressmaker suit with brown accessories. Mr. and Mrs.

C. B. Aarsby will make their home near Carstairs. MARSHALL-MILESON On July 9th, a quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
