Store Loss $1260 In Burglary NORWALK the Huron County sheriffs department today reported investigation over the weekend of a burglary at Pugh's Furniture Store on Route 250 just rtofth of Norwalk in which merchandise Valued at $1,260 Was taken. The department said that an unsuccessful attempt was made to enter through a door.

A rear window was then smashed to gain entrance. Reported taken were two 23- inch TV sets, a 19-inch TV and stereo combination, a stereo console, two dressing tables and two able lamps. Sheriff's deputies said the en occurred between 9 p.m. and 2:15 a.m. This time was determined by the department inasmuch as employes of Link's bakery report for work at 2:15.

Home Course For Willard WILLARD The Willard Busi- and Professional Women's club with the cooperation of the Willard PTA are. sponsoring a Home Preparedness Course to be held in the Central Elementary School auditorium, Tuesday, Nov. 7:30 p.m. Tjje class is specifically for all mothers and housewives of the surrounding communities, but all interested persons are urged to attend. classes are stressed by the office of the President of the United States, the board of education and the Adjutant General's office in Ohio.

The entire course of instruction is designed to be used in times when emergencies arise in the home and emergency services are not available or late in arriving on a disaster scene. There-will be no obligation for those attending, and no solicitation for Civil Defense membership. The course is not. designed soley for war conditions, but is planned to be used in any emergency in the home.

Area Deaths i William Leslie, 60, Principal At Milan School, Succumbs MILAN William Leslie, 60, principal of the Junior High School of Milan for the past seven years and a veteran educator, died suddenly Saturday while visiting his son, Rev. William Leslie, in Wheaton, 111. He suffered a coronary. and Elisabeth Baum. He was a retired carpenter and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

MA 5-0439 Fined, Jailed At Huron HURON Two men were fined and sent to Erie County jail for driving under the influence of alcohol Saturday and a third received a similar sentence for intoxication. Rudolph Znamenak, of Lorain, was fined $300 and costs of $20.25 and sentenced to 30 days in jail; and John Keefe of Huron, was fined $200 and costs of $11.25 and sentenced to three days in jail, both on the DUI charge. Wilford E. Gibson, of Rye Beach was fined $25 and $11.55 in costs on the intoxication count and sent to jail when he was unable to pay. 4-A.
