MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1542. B. Unwin Named -Administrative Head Consumer Rationing The formation of an Admlnls-tritlon' of Consvimer Rationing and the appointment of L. B. Unwin, of Montreal, vice-president of the Canadian Pacific Railway, as administrator was announced toslay by Donald Gordon, chairman of the Wartime Prices and Trade Board.

The new administration is being established to co-ordinate the various consumer rationing activities of the Prices Board throughout the Dominion. When coupon rationing was In- troduced June of this year the activities were centred in a division of the head office organization of the board. Now, in recognition of the enlarged part that consumer rationing is playing and -must continue to play in the war effort, it has become necessary to 'establish adifferent' form of organization. The new administration will take full charge of all consumer rationing activities, including the existing head office organization now headed by H. Ross as well as the supervision and direction of the 500 rationing boards i being formed across the Mr.

Unwin, whose services are! being made available by the Canadian Pacific Railway without cost to the Government, has been vice-president and treasurer of the company since the beginning of 1935.
