There were many beautiful floral pieces from friends and public institutions with which he was connected. The funeral was one of the largest ever held here. Mr. Calleghan had only been ill few days with indigestion. Miss Vail is able to attend her duties as teacher in the primary room again after several weeks' illness.

The Reading Circle was delightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. hreo Jones Monday, evening. During the evening Miss Alice Jones recited a piece composed by her mother, and the Misses Jones sang a selection also composed by Mrs. Jones. Jacob Schieble has purchased the Drug store from Dr.

J. W. Knedler. Mrs. Marshal Silfees fell and sprain ed her ankle on Monday.
