honors at the 12th annual bonspiel here this week-end when F. D. Burkholder's rink won the Rankin Trophy and Jack Bradley's quartet walked olf with the Albert MacLaren Memorial Shield. Burkholder's rink, made up of Christie, J. Doucet and Dr.

R. F. Price, piled up a total of 27 poirits in two victories over Royal Montreal- and Outremont Two games of 10 ends were played by each of. the rinks entered and the team registering the highest margin of score in two victories took the trophy. Bradley's rink, made up of G.

A.J clinched the MacLaren Shield by the runners-up in the Rankin play, L. Montreal "West, team. 11-9. In his' match against Evans, Bradley won by 11-9 after scoring the two winning shots on the last end. Bradley won his first match by another narrow score. Immediately following completion of play J. R. Rankin, donor of the trophy, presented his cup to Burkholder while Hugh Carson, former president of the Ottawa Club, presented the MacLaren Shield to Bradley.

Eidean Rink Wins. On Friday C. G. Keyes Rideau rink beat A. Grant, of Outremont, by 9-7.

H. A. Short's Amprlor four defeated J. M. -Forbes, of Thistle, on Saturday morning while in the afternoon V.

Meek, of Rideau, bowed' to F. tumbull, Outremont, by 7-8 while F. S. Broder's Morrisburg four lost out to Dr. Kelly, of Outremont, 11-7.

Keyes' Rideau rink defeated A. D. Neale, of St. George, by 13-8 in their second match of the bonspiel. Twenty-two rinks took part in the 'spiel.

TORONTO, Jan. 31-(CP) Nadine Philjlps, 15-year-old Toronto Skating Club representative, Saturday won the Junior figure skating championships of Canada at the sixteenth annual Junior competitions here. Nigel Stephens, 16, of the Ottawa Minto Club, won the Junior men's singles for 1943 while the title of Junior pair figure skating champions of Canada went to the rhythmic young team of Margaret Keeley and Alex Fulton of Schumacher, representatives of the Porcupine Skating Club. Both are 18. -Impressive Display.

Giving an impressive display in both compulsory figures and free skating. Miss Phillips was credited with 1,678.54 points by the Judges. In second place was Marilyn R. Take, 14, also of the Toronto Skating Club, who had 1,658.26 points. Fifteen-year-old Cynthia Powell of the Montreal Winter Club was rated third with 1,645.31 points.

'With the winner of the- event the competitor given first place by a majority of the Judges or the one given the lowest total of place numbers by' the Judges, Norrls Bowden, 16, representing the Toronto Skating Club was Judged second in the junior men's singles. Frank Sellers of the Ottawa Minto Club took third place and the only British Columbia com Raymond Desrochers Winner Norland Ski Jumping Meet Raymond Desrochers captured the preliminary jumping competition held by the Norland Ski Club at Fairy Lake yesterday by defeating a field of 12 contestants. Bob Haywood, a former Three Rivers Ski Club star, won the senior slalom race and Edward Clark took first place In the junior slalom. Ferdinand Neault finished second in the jumping closely followed by Laurier Rossignol. Although Neault had a slight lead in the total distance recorded, Desro-cher's style more than made up for what he lacked In distance.

The fresh snow was quite slow and as a result the jumpers did not make as good distances as usual. Posts Best Time. Bob Haywood recorded the best time in both runs of -the slalom to defeat his nearest opponent, Holland by over five seconds. In the junior slalom Edward Clark nosed out Douglas Code by a margin of 2-5 of a second. Bert Godding made the best run amongst the Juniors but was 'Superiors' Triumph In Hull Hockey Loop Goals by Bob Reinhardt, Guy Richer and Pete Bazinet, gave Superior a 3-0 triumph over Pirates in a' Hull Intermediate Hockey League, game played in Hulr yesterday afternoon.
