Yb Minister of National Defence today Issued the 474th casualty list of the war for the Canadian Armyr containing 95 names including 14 men killed in action, one man who died of injuries, two who died of unstated cause overseas, six men previously missing now reported prisoners of war and the remainder wounded, injured and ill. Pte. Rene Joseph Wistaff, son of Arthur Wistaff, 736 Albert street, Ottawa, has. been severely injured- Pte. Joseph Theobold Viau.

son of Mrs, Marie Laroche of. Bourget. was killed in action while Pte-. Reginald Farmer, son of Mrs. Flossie, Farmer, of Cardinal, was wounded, and Pte.

Arrest Two in Theft Of Military Ammunition PEMBROKE, June 23. (Special) Following police investigation into the disappearance of some small arms ammunition from stores at Petawawa Military Camp, Sgt. A. Farnsworth, Petawawa Camp, arrested Tues day by Provincial Police on a charge of delivering six boxes of ammunition, approximately -600 rounds, to Alfred Demers, Pembroke. Demers has been charged by local police with receiving stolen goods.

Both were remanded for trial. Evening Route Sgt. 'Andy' McCann Killed in Action Sgt. Andrew Bernard "Andy" McCann, 29, son of J. S.

McCann, prominent Eganville businessman, has been reported killed on active service. He enlisted the day war was declared, the first recruit from Renfrew county, and went overseas two years ago. He was an ammunition inspector, and died after an accident while destroying damaged ammunition. Last Respects Paid Mrs. Elmyrauffey Many friends and relatives paid final tribute to the memory of Mrs.iElmyra Duffey, wlow of William Duffey, former captain of the Ottawa Fire Department, at the funeral held yesterday morning.

Mrs. Duffey died in the Ottawa General Hospital last Monday morning following a heart attack. The funeral was held from the parlors- of McEvoy Brothers at 8.45 o'clock to Blessed Sacrament Church, where Rev. A. E.

J. Elliott, 18 Pansy Avenue, Ottawa, who has been reported missing after air operations. A Glebe Collegiate graduate, he has been Overseas since July, 1943. A brother, PO. Garry Elliott, is overseas with the R.C.A.F.

Cpl. Sidney Howarth Cameron Highlanders Killed Overseas Cpl. Sidney Howarth, 29, of Toronto, brother-in-law of Arnold W. Vout, 359 Gilmour street, Ot tawa, has been reported killed in action overseas, according to word reaching Mrs. Vout here.

He came to Ottawa from Eng land when a boy, and was employed for many years with the Buckingham Dairy. He enlisted In Ottawa with the Cameron Highlanders and went with the unit to Iceland In 1940, remain lng with them until the unit was sent to England 11 months later. His widow, the former Edith Kelly, of Ottawa. Is residing in Toronto with her six-year-old daughter, Mary Lou. LONDON.
