(AP) Randy Burkman, a pitcher in the New York Mets organization, was accidentally shot in the leg while deer hunting near here Tuesday. Wadena County sheriff's officers said a member of Burkman's party accidentally wounded him. Burkman was struck in the upper right thigh by d bullet, authorities said. Burkman, who pitched in 1979 for the Grace Harbor Mets' farm club at Aberdeen, Wash., sat out last season because his right leg had been injured in a snowmo-biling accident the same leg injured Tuesday. Jim Greenwood's two- goal performance helped Warriors edge Panthers 3-2 in a Southern Alberta Major Midget Hockey League game Wednesday night. Blake Roddhouse had the other Warriors goal. Craig Baile and Kevin Chaloner, replied for Panthers. In other games, Stampeders beat Blackhawks 6- 4 and Rangers downed Northstars 5-3. Results were unavailable from the Bruins-Chiefs match.
