Born in Northumberland, Sept. 23, 1905, he was a son of the late John and Mary Wert Young. He served in the during World War II and was last employed by the Seiinsgrove Center. He also was employed' at the former Wes-tinghouse Surfcury. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Northumberland-, a life member of the Northumberland Fire Company No.

1 a member of the Northumberland Senior Citizens; and of American Legion Post 44, Northumberland. He is survived by a brother and a sister, Glenn W. of Sunbury and Miss Rhoda M. of Northumberland. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m.

Saturday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Northumberland, by the Rev. Paul E. Swartz, pastor of the Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Sunbury. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland. Friends may call in the funeral home Saturday from noon until the time of the service.

Zimmerman MIFFLINBURG Noah Martin Zimmerman, 18 months, Mifflinburg RD1, was pronounced dead on arrival at 2:15 a.m. today in the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was taken to the hospital by the Mifflinburg Community Ambulance.

He was under the care of the family physician for pneumonia. The Zimmerman family has lived in Limestone Township for seven years and prior to that lived in Lititz RD4, Lancaster County. A native of Union County, he was born in Limestone Township, Oct. 3, 1981, a son of Adam Marcus and Ruth Zimmerman Martin Zimmerman. The family are members of the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Miilmont RD1.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, John Daniel of Mifflinburg RD1; two sisters, Lizzie and Katie Mae, both of Mifflinburg RD1; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Fannie Z. Zimmerman of Ephrata RD2; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Martin of Miilmont RD1; paternal great-grandmother, Mrs.

Hettie N. Zimmerman of Leola RD1; paternal great-grandfather, Adam B. Newswanger of New Holland RD1; and maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Weaver W.

Martin of Narvon RD1. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 8:30 a.m. in the Adam M. Zimmerman home, Mifflinburg RD1, and in the Mountain View Old Order Mennonite Church, Miilmont RD1, Monday at 9:30 a.m. Bishop Levi N.

Martin, Pharas L. Zimmerman and Ezra M. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in the Old Order Mennonite Church Cemetery, Lewis Township, Union County. Visitors will be received by the family in the Adam M.

Zimmerman home Saturday evening through Monday until the time of service. Funeral arrangements were made hospitals SUNBURY Mary Plch Wilson, president of the Hugh H. Wilson Corp. and the Wilson Manufacturing died, today in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had been ill for several months.

Mrs. Wilson, of 437 Pheasant Ridge Road, Lewisburg, had a distinguished career of more than 45 years in the manufacturing industry. She helped, build the first Wilson plant in Sunbury from its beginnings as a bobby pin factory to its status today of making more than 300 items and growth into the hair care, sewing notions and closet asses-sories businesses. "In addition to her industrial leadership, Mrs. Wilson was the first woman to serve on the Geisinger Medical Center board and also served on the Evangelical Community Hospital board.

Dr. Adel Makary of Geisinger described Mrs. Wilson as having "very strong character and also a warm person at the same time." The eighth floor of the Bus Pavilion at the Danville medical center was named in her honor by her husband, Hugh H. Wilson, who donated the floor. It was dedicated in 1973.

Wilson, chairman of board for the Sunbury industry, said he had it named for her, for her creativity and dedication in developing the Wilson industries. Mrs. Wilson was born in the Ukraine, the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Pich. She came to the United States at the age of seven and lived in Bayside, Long Island. She graduated as valedictorian of the Flushing, N.Y., high school and received a scholarship to Pace College, one of the outstanding business colleges in New York.

She graduated cum laude from Pace in 1933 and was named its "Alumnae of the Month" in December 1962 for her attainments in the world of business. Her portrait hangs in the college's Alumni Hall. When she was named president of the Hugh H. Wilson Corp. she became the first woman in the nation to reach the top executive post in the hair accessories industry.

Mrs. Wilson started her career as a secretary to Hugh H. Wilson, eastern district manager of a bobby pin company. Four years later, when she was transferred to another territory, she was named to succeed him as district manager. When Wilson formed his own company in Springfield, 111., she joined him as plant manager.

Under her management, the company soon paid off all its debts. With the help of Erma M. Hackenberg MIDDLEBURG Mrs. Erma M. Hackenberg, 83, of 143 W.

Market St. died at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where she had been a patient for 10 days, Born Aug. 19,1899, she was the daughter of the late Ammon and Matilda Hummel Bowersox. Her husband, Jacob W.

Hackenberg, died in 1970. Mrs. Hackenberg was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Middleburg. She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Helen Stover of Lewisburg; and one nephew, William Hollenbach of Cab-.

leskill, N.Y. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Hassinger Funeral Home, Middleburg. The Revs. Christy and David Parks-Ramage will officiate.

Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg. Friends will be received in the funeral home Friday evening. W. Stewart Guyer BERWICK W. Stewart Guyer, 90, of Berwick died.

Tuesday night in the Berwick Retirement Village Nursing Home, where he was a resident for 15 months. He taught school for several years before becoming a Pennsylvania Railroad station agent, retiring in 1963. Born in Lewisburg RD2, he was the son of the late Abraham and Mary Jane Huntington Guyer. He lived in Berwick since 1939. Mr.

Guyer was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Berwick; the Masonic Lodge, Williamsport; a member of Williamsport Consistory for 53 years; a member of the Irem Temple, Wilkes-Barre; the Berwick Royal Arch Chapter; American Legion, Berwick; was past president of Berwick Rotary Club; and was a veteran of World War where he served in Germany and France. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Paul Kelly of Lewisburg RD2. The funeral will be conducted Saturday in Berwick. Mrs.

Jean R. Maxwell KLINGERSTOWN Mrs. Jean Ramberger Maxwell, 47, formerly of Klingerstown RD, died Monday in Chanute, according to word received here. Death was due to natural causes. She had been in ill health for, the past several months.

She is survived by her husband, Gary, and a son Eric, both of Chanute; and her mother and stepfather, Helen and Mason Landvater of Middletown. A memorial service will be conducted March 16 at 11 a.m. in the Salem Church, Klingerstown RD: "sworn to the desperate struggle against hunger, sickness, poverty and ignorance." The pope rebuffed him. the Christians have also noted that there is division, injustice, excessive inequality, degradation -of the quality of life, misery, hunger, fear," John Paul said sternly. Her interest in product design continued today and she is credited with the design of plastic boxes for stacking shoes in closets and a sewing basket. She also designed the container for bobby pins to have a second use for women by making it large enough to hold king-sized cigarettes and rounded the corners so that it could be carried in a purse. When the Wilson company outgrew its Springfield location, plans were made to move the plant to Cham-bersburg, Pa. At the request of Bright Naugle, of the Sunbury Beauty and Barber Supply pie Wilsons came to Sunbury to tour a possible site here. Against the recommendations of their New York consultant the company was moved to Sunbury in 1959.

Mrs. Wilson was noted for her concern for her employees. At one time the company held a Christmas party for its employees' children and Mrs. Wilson and her sister selected gifts for each child, from a noted New York toy store, Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Hugh H.

Wilson; her sister, Mrs. William Mahalsky of Lewisburg; and three nephews. The memorial service will be held in Rooke Chapel, Bucknell University, Lewisburg. The date will be announced later. inhere will be no Memorial donations may be made to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Clayton W. Greninger MILTON The funeral for Clay-ton W. Greninger, 73, Mahoning Manor, Milton RD3, and a resident in the Lewisburg United Methodist Homes, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Herbert E. Barr Funeral Home, Watsontown, by the Rev.

Floyd S. Sollenberger Jr. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. There will be no evening visitation. Friends may call in the funeral home Saturday prior to the time of the service.

Mr. Greninger died at 1 a.m. Wednesday in the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where he was a patient since Tuesday. Born June 14, 1909, in Mill Hall, he was a son of the late Harry and Jennie Emert Greninger. Formerly of Watsontown, he moved to the Philadelphia area and returned to Milton in 1977.

He retired in 1973 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Wyndmoor. He was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Watsontown, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 171, Milton. He was married for 50 years to the former, Geraldine Bowman, who survives. A son, W.

Edward, died in 1972. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Miller of Milton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-stepgrandchild. Lee Gorman RIVERSIDE L. Lee Garman, 84, of 100 Gearhart a retired Conrail employee, died at 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday in the Grandview Health Home, Danville, where he had been a resident since Sept. 16, 1981. Born May 16, 1898, in Middleburg RD1, Snyder County, be was the son of the late George W. and Katie Men-gel Garman. His family moved to the Danville-Riverside area in 1932.

Mr. Garman was employed for a number of years at the Reading Iron Danville. Later, he was employed by Conrail, retiring in 1959. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville: Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Essie Vincent of Danville and Betty Young of Riverside; and four brothers, Ray of Bloomsburg RD1, Grant of Danville, Guy of Danville RD4 and George of Riverside.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, by' the Rev. Martin Kessler. Burial will be in St John's Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.

Adam, 100, formerly of the Milton Towers, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg, where she was a resident since Dec. 7. Born Aug. 3, 1882, in Montour County, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Smith Dolby.

Her first husband, Edward W. Sa-vidge, died in 1969, and her second husband, Wheeler Adam, also pre-cededher in death. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Milton. A son, Kenneth in 1980, and a daughter, Mrs. Thelma She is survived by one son, Edward D.

Savidge of Milton; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Ellis of Muncy RD5 and Mrs. Geraldine Martin of Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Dale E.

Center who died Tuesday In the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was a patient since she fell in her home Feb. 24. Born in Shamokin, March 25, 1897, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Carrie Schickley Malick. Her husband, Vaughn D. Suiter, died in 1959.

She was a 1915 graduate of Shamokin High School, lived in various parts of the country and settled in Elysburg 1959. She was a member of the Elysburg Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a son, Wayne, D. of Newark, two grandsons; and a sister, Mrs. Claude Readley of Shamokin.

Helen W. Sutton PHILADELPHIA Mrs. Helen W. Sutton of 2991 School House Lane, formerly of Milton, died Feb. 28 in the Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John O. Kline. Her first husband, Harold Hinkle, died in 1978.

Mrs. Sutton was a 1940 graduate of the Milton High School. Prior to moving to Philadelphia in 1981 she was a receptionist at the Little League Baseball Inc. headquarters, South Williamsport. She is survived by her second husband, John R.

Sutton; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Dixon of Livingston, N.J., and Mrs. Christine Holman of South Williamsport; three sons, John of Hillsville, Thomas of Jackson, and Scott of Collierville, Tenn. and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are the following stepchildren, John Sutton Jr.

and Marilyn, both of Philadelphia, Mark and Gerard, both of Washington, D.C., Jane of Houston, Texas, and Gregory, at home and a brother, John O. Kline Jr. of Haddonfield, N.J. A memorial service was conducted in Havertown. Clyde Bowser NORTHUMBERLAND W.

Clyde Bowser, 86, of Altoona, a former Northumberland High School sports coach, died this week in Altoona, according to word received here. Mr. Bowser, a native of Altoona and a Susquehanna University graduate, coached sports in Northumberland in 1925. He also served as student coach at SU. From Northumberland, he went to Hanover and jw to Mount Union as a teacher and coach.

A funeral was conducted Wednesday in Altoona..
