A Pacific disturbance now approaching the Washington coast is causing extensive rain and some snow across southern British Columbia. However, this system is eXpected to weaken as it moves inland across the northern tier of states and will have little effect on the weather east of the Rockies. In northern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia the arctic front will remain stationary through the Peace and Fort McMurray regions. Afternoon flurries are forecast for nost areas south of the arctic front while generally sunny conditions are expected in the northern regions.

A major cigarette company plans to revive them when it reintroduces a discontinued brand of cigarettes. A brother, Harry Shaw, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif. One sister, Mrs. Flo Day, London, England. Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren. Born in London, England, Mrs.

Goldenberg moved to Calgary in 1913, and lived in Lethbridge for several vears prior to returning to Calgary in 1957. She was a member of Beth Israel Congregation and a life member of Hadassah. Services in the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1702 17 Ave. S. today, March 24, at 2:30 p.m.

Passed away at the Holy Cross Hospital, following a brief illness. Born May 13, 1915 in St. John's N.B. Mr. Power has lived in Calgary for many years.

Mrs. Ranson was active in church work at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church before coming to Vancouver in 1945. She was also a lifetime member of the Southern Alberta Pioneers and Oldtimers Assoc. of Calgary since 1937.

Her father, Robert McCutcheon was one of the first North West Mounted Policeman stationed at Fort Walsh and Medicine Hat in the late 1800's. He passed away in Calgary at the age of 91 in 1942. Her husband George Ranson predeceased her in 1935 and son Roy in 1928. She leaves to mourn several nieces and nephews in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, California and Salzburg, Austria. Final memorial service will be held in the Union Chapel, Burnside Cemetery Friday, March 26th at 12 o-clock.
