Industrial stocks and specialties felt the weight of speculative selling and pre- holiday liquidation nt the beginning of trading today. After the opening rally, the bulk of industrial, motor, copper and oil stocks were swept downward in an aggressive selling wave which affected principally the leaders in yesterdays closing advance. Stocks of Pan American Petroleum, Standard Oil of New Jersey and other American companies with large holdings in Mexico displayed some irregularity as the result of the official announcement of a possible rupture of diplomatic relations with Mexico. Call money was unchanged nt 4 per cent, for loans extending over the hoi iday. Railroad stocks and equipments were in good demand, with Pullman featuring the latter group with a new 3 point rise to around 190.

The Nickel Plate stocks were freely sold at slightly lower prices. Oil stocks made a good showing, and Warner Brothers Pictures was strong. New York Opening EJtock Prices High!
