Did you ever see a mongrel litter of cats? They do happen once in a while and when they do they are odd enough. There will be cats of assorted sizes, colors and conditions. White cats, black cats, maltese cats, yellow cats and spotted cats. There will be cats with black eyes, gray eyes, and watch eyes. There will be little measley cat3 and big ponderous cats, cats attractive to gaze upon and cats that disgust you to look upon.

Fat cats and spare cats, sprawny cats and lively cats. Cats of high culture and cats of low degree and just cats. There is a chap in town that has cat eyes and that brings out this mention. That individual was blessed with just as good eyes as any other chap who was ever born in the town. The eyes were fair to look upon and fair to be seen.

They were not of a nature to attract unusual attention. The chap who owned and wore those eyes could go about among men and occasion no comment on account or nis looking apparatus. He did not even wear glasses and he culd read as easily as any other chap whom God had endowed with good lookers. His eyes began to bother him. He was a cracK shot and in shooting on the long range strained his eyes or else he injured them by having them hit by pieces of flvine caps.

Anyway his eyes went in to decline. He took up the wearing of glasses and still the trouble did not abate. His eyes did not take on their old time vigor and he could not see aa well as to distance and so clear as to the object gazed upon. In looking over an old receipt book, one of the Dr, Chase kind the kind mentioned by Dr Kelley when he spoke of a book that had everything in God Almighty's airth in he found a formulae for an eye water and he at once set about to compound some of that eye water ana he turned out a prime article. Applied to his eyes they began to enlarge until one of thenv looked as if it was of the tea saucer variety and it glared at you from all points of the compass.

That eye like an evil spirit pursued any individual who happened to come in its range. It made a creepy feeling crawl up your back and you felt as if "the villain was still pursuing her. Now the grave Question before the body is how to lessen the glare of those optics. While the individual has to wear the eyes, you have your choice you don't need to look at him. Harding nailed that lantern and that pail, and he slammed the two together, and throwing down the pail went off carrying the lantern along.
