21 POON Line Co. Strikers Vote On Pact Today About 200 drivers and maintenance workers for the Short Line Bus who went on strike yesterday and disrupted service for about 9,000 commuters in New Jersey, New York and eastern Pennsylvania, were scheduled to vote today on a new contract proposal. A revised contract offer was presented late yesterday after an negotiating session at company headquarters in Mahwah, N.J., said federal mediator Robert Kennedy. The employes, members of Transport Workers Union Local 225, walked off the job shortly after midnight yesterday, forcing about 9,000 commuters to find alternate means of travel. Terms of the contract proposal were not made public.

The president of the union local, George Litze, said the two sides differed over salaries and hospital and pension plans. Calls Timing Unfortunate Julius Eisen, a company official involved in the negotiations, said it was "unfortunate" that the strike occurred on the Easter holiday weekend because many people were traveling home and to New York and Pennsylvania mountain resorts. About 30 men picketed the company's offices and garage yesterday while others turned in equipment and lined up for pay checks. The company's contract expired March 25 and a new agreement devised by management and union leaders was rejcted by the rank and file. Mourning Coffee Nairobi, Kenya (UPI) Ugandans are smuggling coffee out of that country disguised as dead bodies, Brig.

Ali Fadul, Uganda's director of provincial administration, charged yesterday. Ali said mourning parties were crossing into neighboring Kenya with coffins purportedly containing dead bodies but actually packed with "loads of illicit coffee." OBITUARY RAYMOND J. LILL Reno, Nev.
